The Process of Change: Melaka - Name of a tree
http://theprocessofchange.blogspot.com/2009/04/melaka-name-of-tree.html
The Process of Change. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Melaka - Name of a tree. It is interesting to know the origin of the name of Melaka state. The story started as the founder of Melaka, Parameswara went for hunting on a one fine day. As he is resting under a tree after the hunting session, he saw a bright deer kicking a dog. Thinking that as a good omen, Parameswara name the place after the tree he rested on. Guess what? Posted by SAND T KALLOCH. Keeping the Old City Breathing. Restoring the Malacca Fort.

The Process of Change: 97 Jalan Kubu Malacca
http://theprocessofchange.blogspot.com/2009/05/97-jalan-kubu-malacca.html
The Process of Change. Saturday, May 9, 2009. 97 Jalan Kubu Malacca. Sky-light", is a direct translation of the two Chinese characters written on this globe-type light fixture. Every Chinese household has one up on the ceiling at the entrance. This household has the same company name "Yong Mei" just like brother's. This family has the same last name like ours, "Chen". They also have the same house number 97. What a coincident. Brother sent me this picture in 2006. Posted by SAND T KALLOCH. A TRIBUTE TO IB.
