Life is short . Make some memories. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. It's been a year in our "new normal". We have talked a lot about our "new normal" this year. It looks a LOT different. Than my "old" normal. It's definitely not all bad . it's just new. it's just different. I think i see life a little differently. I think i am more cynical. less trusting. Sometimes i feel my skin getting thicker. And walls getting taller. A new normal means 2 birthday celebrations. A new normal means 2 Christmas celebrations.

But then, the dryer starts running on overtime. The hardwoods are constantly wet. The pup wants to go out CONSTANTLY. To stick her nose in the snow. T getting over a bad bout of the end of bronchitis with a nasty cough. He's much better today. That walk to CVS yesterday for the cough meds was WELL worth it.).

Although, i did change my furniture around a lot as a kid. i wonder what that was all about. This morning as i woke up to make lunches for my kids - the change hit me hard. T first day of school Kindergarten). There will be a cafeteria. I don't 'have' to make the lunches everyday. Thier last day at Providence. AC first day of school 1st grade).

Funny thing . i was scrolling thru facebook this morning, and maybe it's ringing in some other ears as well. I don't know how my parents instilled that into my thinking growing up. i'd like to think it was because they modeled. Are just that . words. Combined together to form something we read and understand.

We headed to the beach last week with adam's entire family (40 ish people) and had a blast. aj LOVED the "ochh". we were out there morning and evening. thank goodness we got a beach buddy. Most likely the dreaded H1N1, which I have to say, isn't really so bad. In fact, if this is the flu we get this year, then I feel like we lucked out (as far as one can "luck out" with the flu! It was bittersweet for us - we have really enjoyed our summer together as the quality time was abundant and even seemed endless for a time. Piper talks a lot about heirlooms, and traditions.that there is a difference in passing down the old fur coat or the family recipe.although both worthy and a great thing.the tradition of Christ in the home is the most important to pass down.
