December 15, 2014. 每回出去玩, 我喜歡多帶衣服, 即使在大熱天, 我常隨身攜帶一件毛衣. 上當學乖. 經過幾回差點被冷氣凍死的經驗,. 在泰國看表演時，冷氣吹得叫人發抖,我的圍巾借給了姊姊. 在澳洲，夜晚大夥走在街上,頗有些涼意,我的披肩借給了同事. 母親出葬時是三月初，特別冷, 風又特別強, 冷風刺骨,每個人把大衣領口抓緊唯恐冷風穿入. December 25, 2014. 小時候家裡窮, 我最喜歡的遊戲就是自己一人騎著腳踏車毫無目地的壓馬路. 遇到紅燈, 向右轉, 綠燈就直走. 在1962年12月24日下午, 就這樣我到了林妙禎家. 妙禎邀請我晚上跟她去教堂. 今晚我們有個聖誕晚會, 她說. 吃完晚飯, 我興沖沖的跟妙禎到了教堂. 那時我才知道妙禎是教會裡青年合唱團的一員, 而旦當晚合唱團要表演幾首聖誕歌. 當我忙著看大家準備上台的時候, 妙禎跑去跟牧師說話. 不久他們來到我面前. 可是我不會唱那些歌, 我輕輕說, 心裡真希望自已能跟他們一起上台. 不會唱沒關係. 跟著唱就行了, 牧師笑瞇瞇的說. 十分鐘後我站在台上, 手上的歌詞抖動著, 努力跟著大夥唱歌. 唱最後一條歌時, 妙禎和我另一旁的女孩抓住了我的手, 我覺得自已多麼幸福. 我向來是獨來獨往的, 那一天覺得不孤獨真好. 沒少 沒少, 牧師說. 他隨手拿起一個空袋子, 走到每個團員前要每個人從自已的袋子裡拿出一些糖果放在新袋裡. 妙禎放了一把, 有個男孩幾乎把他所有的糖都倒出來了. Thinking, writing, photographing…. February 2, 2015. 大學時有一回去左營(記得是左營), 看見很多烏龜在一個池塘裡. 旁邊的人告訴我那些烏龜是被人買了放生的. 那是個大太陽天, 氣溫不高. 池塘中間的小島擠滿了曬太陽的烏龜. 常常有隻烏龜被同伴擠下水裡. 站在那兒, 我突然想知道這些烏龜是否快樂. 除了與人群對眼, 他們做何消遣? 我喜歡收集石頭. 家裡的石頭有從蘇必略湖和密西根湖畔來的, 有從加州, 紐約, 台灣九份, 花蓮, 太平洋 各地收來的. 三毛喜歡在石頭上畫畫. 有陣子我覺得是好主意, 也在一塊石頭上畫了一隻鳥.事後, 不曉得為什麼, 我總覺得那塊石頭不能呼吸, 以後再也不畫了. 有時我把一塊石頭握在手裡一直等到石頭暖和起來, 我就開心了, 覺得石頭有了生命. 最近我有一個念頭: 當春天來時, 我要將把所有的石頭都放到院子裡. 也許這也算是放生吧! 當然, 如果他們寧願住屋裡, 他們隨時歡迎回來.
