Teaching in a world of craziness! Hard to imagine how fast this year has passed, indeed this past two years! My Junior Infant babies are moving onto First Class and moving onto a new teacher :-(…. To be fair, I will miss them but we are definitely getting tired of each other! They aren’t listening anymore and I am tired of repeating the same things over and over and over and….you get the idea ;-). Teaching in a world of craziness! Perhaps the wrong end of the year to start a teaching blog! And so it begins – hidingincupboards – my first blog. And possibly my last ;-). I suppose I will start with the name, I need to explain that I don’t actually hide in cupboards…nowadays! The name comes from an old friend who now works in England who explained to me once that whenever a difficult parent comes into the classroom in the morning she always hides in a cupboard in an effort to look busy!

Teaching in a world of craziness! Okay, so my idea to keep a blog went a bit haywire during the last few months! It started with Summertime laziness – my favourite type of laziness I must add! I spent the Summer doing a whole lot of nothing but never having a moment either.
