Feedback for new campaign: Duskkeep: dungeon_masters
http://dungeon-masters.livejournal.com/134606.html
Feedback for new campaign: Duskkeep. So I'm hoping to start a new D&D campaign soon, using the 4e ruleset. I'm looking for a little feedback about my campaign idea, as well as possible suggestions for adventures/quests/stuff-to-do. PCs: The Next Generation. To start off, the PCs can be of any race found in the 4e PHB. As we get a feel for the system, other races from the MM (or other splats if we play that long) could be allowed, depending on appropriateness for the story so far. The elves inhabit a vast...

Attacking the Darkness - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition

Attacking the Darkness - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Jul 26th, 2010 09:56 am. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. I have a Divine-heavy group I DM for - one Cleric, one Avenger, one Invoker - and many of their spells have the Radiant keyword, plus various weapon-glow and holy fire effects. These would only be flashes of light, not a sustained effect (unless otherwise stated on the power cards, of course). Spell, or would I need a purely mundane darkness for that?

Problems with Tome of Battle and Campaign - warning, rant ahead. Well, why not? Falconry and/or Animal Companion Boosting Feats/Classes. How much ass could a chipmonk kick if a chipmonk could kick ass? A question and a bit of a rant. Divine "Bards" in DnD. Problems with Tome of Battle and Campaign - warning, rant ahead. Also, I think that I may not have a problem with Tome of Battle itself so much as what was done with it. So, on to the evidence. Well, why not? You could restrict this otherwise, or even ...

This will be fun. Not 3e related, but it is D&D related. This will be fun. Help me get free pie! Okay, no pie. but I could use help. I would like to compile a %age chart of events that happened to shape a characters life for a little experiment I want to try. So I want to see what we can come up with as a community. These are things that could have happened while a child was growing up, before their adventuring career started. Here are the rules:. The party has hired 8 dwarves that were captive in the ke...

Item Question - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition
http://dnd4e.livejournal.com/55831.html
Item Question - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Jul 9th, 2010 04:25 pm. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. I don't have much chance to flip through Adventurer's Vaults, since I don't have them and I rarely get a chance to hit the library these days. I was wondering, since I didn't see them in my PH, if my favorite item had been brought into 4.0? Thunderstones. I loved how useful they were in so many different ways. Saved my ass countless times. 2010-07-09 11:45 pm (UTC).

One-Shot Adventure Level: High Heroic or Low Paragon? - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition

One-Shot Adventure Level: High Heroic or Low Paragon? Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. One-Shot Adventure Level: High Heroic or Low Paragon? Jul 11th, 2010 01:06 pm. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. What do you folks think? What's your experience been with the differences between Heroic and Paragon tier? Is it too much of a change for a GM and players inexperienced with 4E? 2010-07-11 08:04 pm (UTC). I would say Low Paragon. 2010-07-11 09:43 pm (UTC). If you're worried...

Dragons vs. Giants - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition

Dragons vs. Giants - Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Dragons vs. Giants. Oct 21st, 2010 12:39 pm. Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. What I'm having trouble figuring out is how exactly an army of Giants would fight against an army of Dragons. Do the Giants hang on the ground and throw huge boulders as the Dragons try to come within breath-weapon range? Do the Giants ride into battle on the backs of Rocs (or other oversized birds)? Some combination of the above? I'd alwa...
