I was tempted to put this under Drivel. There's not a great deal to say about me. By my own admission I am a computer and history geek. I would dearly love to study archaeology at university; if it wasn't for the fact that I hate exams I would have so done by now. And by "hate" I mean to say that they make me feel sick, as do driving test or any kind of test/exam experience. I'm a member of The Sealed Knot Society. I also head up the Society's webteam and look after Sir Henry Bard's Regiment.

For the past 10 years I've been working in automation as a SCADA and PLC programmer, primarily concerntrating on SCADA; I've also done HMI work with touch panels. The majority of my work has been in the automation industry, but I would like to work in other areas as well. The following is shamelessly borrowed from the CERN website. Because it happens to describe SCADA nicely:. SCADA systems used to run on DOS, VMS and UNIX; in recent years all SCADA vendors have moved to NT and some also to Linux.
