Papa's Toolshed Mama's Kitchen: September 2011
http://papastoolshedmamaskitchen.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Now that the weather is finally cooling down in our area. Daniel is trying to convince me we should ride our bikes to run errands. We got a trailer for the girls, and he's going to be constructing. Some sort of trailer to carry groceries. I was totally not into the idea at all. I kept picturing the Wicked Witch of the West. Peddling away on her bicycle and the music that follows her. I didn't want that to be our family. But Daniel just showed me this video. So far everyone ...

What is Macrobiotics | Natural Tasty Chef
http://www.naturaltastychef.com/what-is-macrobiotics-2
Tasty Recipes and Heathy Tips. Gluten & Dairy Free Recipe Book. The word Macrobiotics is derived from the Greek word macro meaning large or great and bios meaning life, so in a sense it is the art and philosophy of creating a big and wonderful life. We achieve this by eating foods in their most whole form by choosing food grown locally and in season, and by working with, instead of against, nature and the natural flow of things. What does a macrobiotic diet consist of? Why turn to macrobiotics. The Every...

Monica Fritz Studios: Macrobiotics - Carrot Diakon Drink
http://monica-fritz.blogspot.com/2011/02/macrobiotics-carrot-diakon-drink.html
Saturday, February 5, 2011. Macrobiotics - Carrot Diakon Drink. It's a beautifully gray morning in February. This hot "drink" felt comforting and cleansing. I got this recipe from Jessica Porter's Hip Chick Guide to Macrobiotics. It is a powerful diuretic and IMO pretty tasty, too. A friend just told me that it's bad to stick your chopsticks in a bowl of rice this way, and therefore possibly bad luck to stick it in a bowl of anything this way! Just passing the tip along. ;). Diet for a Small City: for Vegetarians and the People Who Love Them: GRO Cafe
http://dietforasmallcity.blogspot.com/2009/07/gro-cafe.html
Diet for a Small City: for Vegetarians and the People Who Love Them. A resource for vegetarians in and around Portland, Maine. Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Its full name is GRO Grassroots Organic Juicebar/Cafe/Chocolatier. As a vegetarian and self-proclaimed food critic, I felt a keen responsibility to visit and report upon an eatery that my friends described as “raw and vegan.”. So it came that Renee and I ordered takeout; luckily for me, Renee already had a menu on hand. And what a menu it is! The chocolat...

Diet for a Small City: for Vegetarians and the People Who Love Them: Paciarino

Diet for a Small City: for Vegetarians and the People Who Love Them. A resource for vegetarians in and around Portland, Maine. Monday, June 15, 2009. 160; I will admit that there is something exotic about ordering from a menu that is written in another tongue, but from the standpoint of a vegetarian food critic, it put me in a position where I had to ask. Of questions. Apparently everyone asks a lot of questions at Paciarino, for our waitress was exceptionally obliging. . I will try Paciarino again....
