Thursday, May 29, 2008. Now this might not surprise you, but it seems that hedgehogs really are rubbish when it comes to crossing the road. In some parts of the UK, the number of hedgehogs have almost halved and researchers say it could be because the prickly critters can't cope in traffic. Some people think it's because the water is polluted, but although scientists say it's possible, they think there could be other reasons. It detroyed three homes and around 20 more had to be evacuated. The pilot was the only person on board the plane. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. At least 88 people have been killed and many more injured after a series of explosions in Egypt. A 14-year-old British girl is among those injured by the blasts, and has been flown to a hospital in Cairo,. The blasts happened at a holiday resort called Sharm al-Sheikh, with a car bomb tearing the front off of a hotel. Many Egyptians are among the dead, according to police, although some of those killed are tourists from other countries too, officials said. Links to this post.
