民國44年開始施行之 臺灣省公路局職工福利委員會互助辦法 歷經多次修訂，現已改為 財團法人交通部公路總局職工福利委員會互助辦法。 目前適用本辦法之單位為本局所屬內外各單位 含公路工會、職工福利委員會及各福利社 互助對象分為必須參加人員 編制內員工及約聘(僱)人員 及志願參加人員 如臨時司機、臨時技工、臨時文書工及契約服務人員等 互助項目共計四項，分別為 一、結婚互助，二、退休(職)資遣、解聘(僱)、辭職互助，三、喪葬慰問互助，四、親屬喪葬互助。

我國公文書之發展，自先秦迄今，約可劃分為三時期，先秦為第一時期，秦漢迄清為第二時期，民國成立以來當為第三時期，此時期之公文為 一文一事 ，已不復有古代公文內容繁湊之感 而文章已趨簡樸之特質，不再見如古公文訓諭、含義繁複之質，公文亦無麗辭，自難列於典章與文學之林。 文書回想曲 篇章中分別撰有 文書風華 賞古論今 及 相輔相成的統計 二節，蒐羅整理本局30年代及與大陸公路局往來之相關文書檔案，可以窺探民國時期對公文繕寫十分講究，一般皆以毛筆蘸墨汁繕寫，不論正楷、行書，都要求字體整齊工整，足證明當時公務人員承辦公文需具一定書寫能力及文學素養，閱讀當時之公文書如同欣賞一篇篇書法創作。

後山公路文物館以交通部公路總局第四區養護工程處建設管養 宜蘭縣、花蓮縣 之 道路、橋梁、隧道 為主軸，如轄區開闢歷史最久也最具歷史意義的蘇花公路之興建歷程及未來展望 臺灣第一條貫穿東部海岸山脈隧道 玉長隧道 開鑿程序、隧道內安全設施 利用LED逐燈顯現之方式，介紹台9線豐平橋脊背橋之施工步驟，提供許多公路建設的泛黃黑白老照片、老舊斑駁的文物、文獻資料，並以展板、實物、模型等方式展現。 館外展區設有 薪火相傳 、 橫貫公路頌 、 廣場頂棚 、 路、橋、隧入口意象 等四項裝置作品，館內展區設有18個展區，將昔日、現在、未來，以時光隧道的情境展現，紀錄辛勤耕耘的成長歷程及燦爛的果實，展現後山公路發展的深刻內涵及歷史意義。 建議使用 IE7.0 或 Firefox1.0.1以上版本瀏覽器，螢幕解析度1024x768.
