My baby boy is one! Here is how my thoughts have changed as each of my children celebrated their first birthday- Olivia's 1st- Oh my what a fun year this has been, so excited for this special celebration. Ellinor's 1st- Oh thank goodness, we have survived, surely now that she is one things will get easier. Henry's 1st-Oh my word, how can this be- he is one already! Please grow more slowly. Unfortunately she took a rather painful tumble and ended up with a spiral break in her arm! View my complete profile.

As we wait for another little addition to our family, we have been treasuring the simple moments here and there. The blondies are so animated these days! Here are just a few pics. Playing together without arguing! Silly girl at swim lessons. A neighbor and friend gave the girls her four wheeler. We gave it a new battery and the girls love it! Even Daddy finds a way to enjoy it! So proud of my husband, who finished his first sprint triathalon! His first swim, slow, but successful! He is still smiling!

We are actually enjoying a rather dry spring here in the Northwet (oops, I meant Northwest). We have enjoyed many warm days and had to pull out the shorts a bit earlier then planned. Here are a few pictures of the latest happenings in and around our house! Look closely at that face! Wow Not a good morning. He loves to swing and Olivia enjoys pushing! Even warm enough for the sprinkler? Mega castle for the princesses, which was followed by. Mom, can we please go visit the REAL castle? I will admit I was u...

We started this month going on a quick vacation with my mom to the coast. The trip ended up being a memorable one. After unpacking the car I realized I had forgotten all the clothes and toiletries. Including diapers and wipes! Yikes We recovered, due to the simple fact that I could wash everyone clothes each night, and then have dry by morning. As this wasn't enough, one day while we were down by the pool, the stroller blew into the pool! She was duplicating my face when I realized my mistake! Henry is a...

All she wants to do is dance, dance, dance! Olivia started dance this year and she has come along way. Her face lights up when we talk about anything dance related and every morning after breakfast she asks for some music and her tap and ballet shoes and puts on a show. I never thought dance would be the first organized "sport" I would introduce my child to, but she loves it and that makes my heart smile too! Flowers from Grandma Cathy, Auntie Chris and Daddy. Practicing before the final performance.

We finished up our summer with a few camping trips with friends and family. In August we stayed at Dose wallops state park, where some long time family friends are currently employed. We celebrated a few firsts; digging and cooking up oysters and Ellinor hopping on her pedal bike and taking off! We stayed two nights right next to Grandma and Grandpa Monahan and the girls loved traveling back and forth between trailers! Playing down by the river. We hiked up to a waterfall a few miles from camp. Detroit L...

On the road again. Pretty good towing power for a 4 cylinder. Dont worry, the girls car seats fit nicely in the bed of the truck. Enjoying a campfire meal. The wind was in full force. JJ was showing his creativity. We decided to bike the Twin Tunnels trail from Hood River to Mosier. About 9 miles round trip of hills, wind and amazing views of the Gorge. It was enjoyable but might have been a bit much for my pregnant, out of shape body. And laughter followed with full bellies and smores by the campfire.

Judging by the size of his cheeks, and just about every rolly polly part of his body, you would assume this little man like to eat. And you are right, he does. He love his breastmilk, but cereal; not so much. Here are a few pictures from those first few bites. Look at that concern."really mom, another bite? This doesn't really compare. How long do I have to keep this in my mouth before I spit it out? Now can I be done? So we will try again, and again, and again. One day He will surely take to it! And San...

The girls really enjoyed the fourth this year! Olivia even stayed up to watch the nieghbors light their money on fire! The day was busy, the ridgefield parade, the souders for a bbq and then home hosting for a few close friends! JJ had a four day weekend so it felt like a mini vacation for us. He accomplished so much, garden boxes, sandpit (filled with only the best long beach sand) and several other things I can't remember now! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
