Sunday, February 19, 2012. And it begins, for real. The whole volunteer group at the "despedida" in Tegucigalpa. All’s well and becoming routine here at Rancho Santa Fe. Last week marked the end of a long transition period and the beginning of the rest of the year. The old volunteers, whom had been here for a 13 months, left in style this past weekend. To see them off, every single volunteer (all 20-some of us! A bit about my hogar. Not quite all of San Lucas, but almost. San Lucas working in the fields.

Where we are headed. The Walking in Between. Because life is not the mountain tops. Ruminations of the rear seat. December 2, 2014. We knew months ago that those five weeks would be completely packed and we had been praying about the trip ever since. Now, after being settled at home for a few weeks, I am able to look back and reflect on a few things. Now, I am not saying those few weeks were a thorn in my side.
