Notes from the (never) bored-room: ssshhhh.... hear it?
http://wilswit.blogspot.com/2014/06/ssshhhh-hear-it.html
Notes from the (never) bored-room. Ssshhhh. hear it? It's peace and quiet. The house looks like a bomb has hit it thanks to a couple of weeks of ". just leave it, I'll sort it. no really. just walk away and I'll see to it.". I think I now know how parents feel when all the kids go to camp all at once. Except here, it's the parents who've gone. I have such plans. Decluttering the entire house. Power-hosing all the paths. Painting all the fences. Replanting the garden and tubs. Tuesday, June 03, 2014.

Notes from the (never) bored-room: February 2015
http://wilswit.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Notes from the (never) bored-room. Dress rehearsal for spring. It was as excited as a child on Christmas eve; spring was coming, how could it stay in the bed? Yes, it was still dark but in the first few days of January, up it shot to bring beauty to the tiny patch of border. It's the same every year; the first of a small clump of daffodils showing up in the dead of winter, without fail. There is hope. just wait. brighter days are coming. Thursday, February 26, 2015. I got to thinking about this lad and h...

Notes from the (never) bored-room: March 2015
http://wilswit.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Notes from the (never) bored-room. Choc mint aero scored. 2 out of 10 - and my heart sank. The lil' guy making the ice cream was quite clear, however that scoring 1 would have been 'excellent'. We missed the mark this time 'because it just wasn't green enough'. We were experimenting with the number of drops required of green colouring and the peppermint extract - the chopped mint aero bar was preferred over the choc chips as being much nicer. Notes from the (never) bored-room: Ah autumn...
http://wilswit.blogspot.com/2014/09/ah-autumn.html
Notes from the (never) bored-room. There's a very definite change in the atmosphere. Farmers busy themselves with essential work while the weather holds and just beyond the fields, the waters of the Irish Sea are a little rougher than of late. I spotted this fabulous village sign on a work visit this week. For years a friend thought it was pronounced Tamla O'Frilly. Thursday, September 04, 2014. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). String Theory Crochet: Tiny crochet purses revisited
http://www.stringtheorycrochet.co.uk/2015/07/pu.html
Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Tiny crochet purses revisited. We have started to think about Christmas. We have made a list of stock and worked out what we need to replenish but also we are considering some new and exciting things for this year - watch this space. For me this week has been about completing a commission and some old favourites. These ae even smaller but a £10 pound note fits really well! You can also use them for your pills or your minions! String Theory Crochet: December 2014
http://www.stringtheorycrochet.co.uk/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 December 2014. Presents, Cosies and Crochet. Had a lovely Christmas and saw almost all of my close family at some time during the festivities, this of course was the best present but I did have some amazing crochet related gifts. Lovely cotton from Graham, as you can see it is already started! You might remember these: our famous Ferrero Roche cosies? My attempt at an artistic picture of almost the whole collection. May be suitable for valentines day? These can be made in any team colours.

String Theory Crochet: January 2015

Sunday, 25 January 2015. Crochet Bags and Huge amounts of Yarn. One of the things I often mention here is how good our family are at helping Vicky and I in our craft endeavors. Here is yet another example:. Graham bought a 'little bit of yarn' - getting on for 400 balls - so I have been trying it out with a view to writing patterns for kits. I am pleased with the hat, crocheted as a tube from the top down. Smallish bag based on a circle of dc and then straight up using trebles. Links to this post. Thursd...

String Theory Crochet: August 2015

Monday, 31 August 2015. The Coast and Crochet Coasters. Does anyone else have a grandson that builds solar systems instead of sand castles? Ben is running away from one of the life size dinosaurs at the Dan yr ogoff caves- absolutely amazing and worth a visit, the caves that is. Brave Danny making friends with a huge horse. And Now for the crochet. This is a set of six coasters that I started before going to Wales. Made using Rico Essentials DK. Inside are apple slice coasters. Vicky and I were rather di...
