HopingInSilence: May 2013
http://hopinginsilence.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 27, 2013. Grandma is a Klepto. Grandma is not literally. A kleptomaniac, I'll get that out of the way first. Still, she's developed some bad habits over the years, and one of them is assuming that anything she sees in certain places is hers. I'm going to tell you a short story, and I promise it's relevant, so pay attention:. There's so much stuff that Grandma has grown accustomed to poking through piles and finding things she doesn't recognize. Sometimes she finds stuff on top. My father had ...
HopingInSilence: July 2013
http://hopinginsilence.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 26, 2013. Old Age, Death, and Stories. I watched family members take away my great-grandfather's car keys so he couldn't drive across the country alone, watched the local senior center close and take with it his reason to go on a walk every day. I watched him spend more time in front of the TV because he didn't have anywhere to go anymore, and I was torn because I could see both sides. He was in his eighties, and if he died on a three-day road trip, how long would it be before someone knew?
HopingInSilence: A Hard Day's Night
http://hopinginsilence.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-hard-days-night.html
Saturday, March 8, 2014. A Hard Day's Night. I realized I was standing in the store I work at in the middle of the night. I'd obviously come to get something, but I couldn't remember what, nor could I remember how I'd gotten there. There were other customers around, considering the store is open 24/7, so no one was looking at me weird, but I felt. Had I been asleep? It's scary realizing you've just woken up. At the checkout, I noticed the registers had all been changed during my day off. I hadn't hea...
HopingInSilence: Nervescitement on Steroids
http://hopinginsilence.blogspot.com/2015/07/nervescitement-on-steroids.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. You may have noticed that my Facebook page says I'm in a relationship. Normally when it says that it's because I just felt like messing with the settings, but it happens to be true at the moment. This long-distance relationship is my first relationship since my failed marriage and I'm on the edge between eagerness and straight-up panic. This is nervescitement on steroids. I had no driver's license, no friends, and rarely saw people outside work. I would call in sick when X didn...
HopingInSilence: January 2013

Sunday, January 20, 2013. DSL - Dog-Specific Legislation. Puppies do not come trained, this is a sad fact of life. Kids don't come trained, either. When a puppy was introduced to my 11-year-old daughter, there was much drama because puppies nip, and they have no sense of personal boundaries whatsoever. It has been six months. Now The puppy is quite a bit bigger and far better trained. She knows things like off, down, toy, bring,. The kid, however, does not seem to understand this. To hurt her. She's ...

At the intersection of femdom and fail. Q & A. I’m the first to admit my flaws and point out my shortcomings. I do it first (before you have a chance to). I do it loudly (to underscore my awareness of their existence). 8230; it’s how I introduced myself. It’s not that I honestly. I’m dumb (or stupid, uneducated, senseless, thoughtless, generally ignorant, etc.). It’s that. I fear I might be. And just in case I am, I’ll be the one to say it first. I’m overly invested, I’m obsessive, I’m excessively focused.

Hoping in Christ | an exploration
Para; Introduction: Renewing Christian Hope at its Source. Hope needs sustenance if it will endure. For Christian hope to endure, it must drink fresh water from its Well-Spring, celebrate with new wine, feast on the Bread of Life. Without food, hope wanes, weakens, and gives way to despair, or is displaced by lesser, yet more well-fed hopes. Hope for spiritual riches, for salvation, […]. 4 · January 1, 2010 · Uncategorized. Friday, July 17, 2015. I have one sibling, my younger sister. My sibling has had three children, all of whom are dogs. These are the nieces and nephews I get, and so I love them. Or I have loved them. Then my sister adopted a boy, also a rottweiler. Whereas my niece was from a line of working dogs, my nephew was from a line of show dogs. I was kept in the loop just the same with him, from his birth through his growth into a dog who would have been show-perfect if not for a very slight underbite. Then he ...
