Ga nooit op een slaapzaal tussen een amerikaan en een spanjaard liggen, je doet geen oog dicht ;-). Dat krijg je. een hele dag engels spreken en niet weten hoe zo'n ding heet (Slak zonder huisje). My witness is the empty sky. Zaterdag 6 juni 2009. Zubiri / 21,2 KM - Spierpijn. In Roncevalles word je wakker om 7.00 u. met kerkmuziek. De dag kan niet beter beginnnen, denk je. Met spierpijn uit een stapelbed kruipen valt niet mee. Had ik toch niet beter langzaam kunnen starten? Rond mij is iedereen druk bezig met zichzelf en de volgende slaapplaats. Uit vorige ervaringen kan het een ware race zijn om een bed te bemachtigen in de volgende stopplaats. Relax! Haha man, klinkt zalig! Ready, Set, Go!

Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port is een aandoenlijk dorpje met Citadelle, maar volledig ingesteld op de pelgrim. Dit is best wel jammer omdat het hier weer draait om geld van arme pelgrims. Na alle formaliteiten hebben we ons onderkomen gevonden bij "Maison Esponda". Alle faciliteiten waren aanwezig: Keuken, wasmachine, douches, bedden en een koelkast. Wat heb ik het toch zwaar. De bakker was nog niet open aan de voorkant, dus zijn we de broden achterom gaan halen. Voor een steile beklimming heb je nl. energie nodig! Hier heb ik voor de zekerheid een bed gereserveerd zodat ik zou kunnen stoppen al dat nodig was. Aangekomen heb ik mijn voetjes meteen gecontoleerd. My witness is the empty sky. Woensdag 1 juli 2009. Zoals jullie al gemerkt hebben is schrijven voor mijn blog een hele opgave. Maar hier komt verandering in ;-). We starten met een update van nieuwe foto's in een groter formaat! Wat gaaf wat je allemaal doet en ziet.het klinkt als een super reis! Hier alles rustig, met mn dikke buik is de actie-radius ook niet zo groot ;-). Vet vet man :). Gelukkig vertellen fotos ook een mooi verhaal,. Blijf maar doorgaan, we genieten!
