Knittin' & Drinkin': September 2006
http://knitdrink.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 26, 2006. It's been awhile, but I have one thing to finally post! As promised here is the completed Twisty Turn wrap from the Wrap Style book. I made it with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran yarn I bought at Stitches. It was pretty mindless until I had to put it together! It looked simple enough, but my problem seems to be that I over think things sometimes. What looks easy seems to be hard for me! Anyhoo.all that matters is I love it! I'd post a picture, but blogger keeps screwing up!

Monkeys and palm trees. Well, my first Monkey sock was finished about a week ago, but I’ve been putting off knitting the second one, because I’m leaving tomorrow for St. Thomas! I figure that second Monkey will be the perfect vacation knitting, and the plane ride layover is so long that I may even get the whole thing done on the trip! March 5, 2008. Uncategorized. Still alive and knitting. Well, in my last entry I talked about a desire to knit more socks because I wanted more instant gratification type p...

Also-ran, or: Knitter, know thyself. Well, I failed to finish my Union Square Market Pullover in time for the end of the Ravelympics. What the hell was I thinking? Fingering weight yarn on size 4s? Of course I can’t knit an entire sweater with those tools in a measly 17 days! Despite that, I have been very diligent about continuing to plug away at it even though the Ravelympics are over! In fact, Kevin even commented that he was impressed that I was still working so hard on it! I am a Sweater Knitter.

What have I been doing? Nupp: k1, yo, k1, yo, k1 into one stitch, then on the wrong side of the work purl all 5 of those stitches together, creating a small bobble-type object. Yikes! Was good enough to give me the tip to slip the stitches to a small DPN before attempting to purl them. Worked like a charm! I should be finishing it in the next day or two, and I am so excited to see what happens when I block it. June 17, 2008. Uncategorized. Be the first to comment! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

DORLY? | Stitchuesque

You know, I never thought I’d be the kind of person who would ever make a doily (at least not while I’m under the age of 50.) But after seeing the doilies on this page. Oh boy. I foresee a lot of lacy discs in my future. Especially with the number of weddings (currently four) on my radar for this year. The first of these is May 24. This does not bode well for my vow to make the Alexi Throw my Official Living Room Knitting. April 17, 2008. Uncategorized. April 28, 2008 at 8:56 am. Permalink.

Knittin' & Drinkin': November 2006
http://knitdrink.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 16, 2006. Give me a break! I'm a terrible blogger.I've been so busy with the kids back in school, me back at work, sports for the boys, medical scare (everythings fine! Yada, yada, yada. Have I had time to knit? It seems that all my sons' friends want winter hats, after they saw the london beanie I made my eldest. Very mindless knitting, but it keeps me out of the refrigerator! I've taken a class in Fair Isle knitting and completed my first hat! This weekend I'm hitting a couple of cra...

Lately I’ve had the desire to knit socks. Yes, it just might have something to do with the fact that I’m currently embroiled with my third sweater in a row while simulatenously neglecting the throw I’ve been slowly plodding away at for about 8 months, why do you ask? I sometimes feel that I should have more FOs to show for the one year plus change that I’ve been knitting, and then I look at the FOs (or nearly FOs) that I’ve done, and quite a few of them are semi-major projects. TO BE CONTINUED….

Whine, whine, wind. Guh, I hate winding skeins into center-pull balls.😛 Which is a shame, because so many beautiful yarns come in non-center-pull ball form. So, here I sit, winding a ball of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock so I can knit my second Hedgerow. Sock (That’s right, I haven’t even gotten to the second sock yet.😛 ). There are other ways I’d like to be spending my time, but I need to wind this ball tonight, because tomorrow, right after work, I’m going to Stitch ‘n’ Pitch. Be the first to comment!

Kris Knits: September 2006
http://krisknits2.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
And knits and knits. Tuesday, September 05, 2006. While I am much to lazy to move things over, I am quite excited about what it will have to offer. Come on over and check it out. It will be undergoing some refurbishing as I get into the groove of CSS. Does anyone out there know of a good cheat sheet? Posted by Kris at 9/05/2006 12:54:00 PM. Links to this post. Monday, September 04, 2006. Blogger is buggy today. Attempt to get a few more pieces done for the craft show. I am realizing that it is much c...
