Howlin’ Horst (Burchardt), „mit weißem Teint und schwarzer Seele“, „lebendes Denkmal“, „Blueslegende“, gehört seit Jahrzehnten zum Urgestein der Kulturlandschaft des Ruhrgebietes. Er ist mit Jahrgang 1931 wohl der älteste aktive Bluesmusiker Deutschlands. Das aktuelle Projekt ist die Howlin’ Horst Bluesband. Als Texter, Harpspieler und Sänger spielt er mit den Bands Howlin’ Horst and the Blues Healers. Mit der Joanna Connor Band. Und dem Beatlesgefährten Tony Sheridan.
