July 6, 2015. Last day in Lille. The guy was French and Holly was delighted by the chance to chatter away in French, so the conversation was a flowing waterfall between them. August 1, 2016. Another day in Läjet. Monday morning arrived with some more wind, and we went to Läjet again to go kitesurfing. Apelviken to the north, and Läjet to the south. Södra Näs in between them is where we’re staying. Back at the house, Chris and Marcus were cooking spaghetti and meat sauce for everybody, and it was delicious! Andreas, Jegor, Chris and Toffy. Marcus (with Artur) and David. Kelly, me and Andreas. There was strong wind in Apelviken in the evening, so time for some evening surf!

Excusez-moi, how do you say “rare” in French? 1 There is terminology in French for how to cook meat, which doesn’t easily translate to English Rare-Medium-Well-done . I didn’t figure out the whole scale, but Bleu means it just barely touched the pan, saignant means rare (bloody), and after that, I started to get less interested. 2 The waiter at Café Constant in Paris, who told us that a rare steak was ordered by saying rouge ,. Must have been messing with us.
