1966 Queen Mary Mediterranean Cruise. I was at the local ship nautical store the other day, and I came upon some old photo albums one of which contained some pictures from a cruise taken by an elderly couple, A Mr. and Mrs. Ryan of Seattle, aboard the Queen Mary to the Mediterranean. I took this from the pier in the park across the bay from the ship. There were many people on the pier enjoying the sunny June evening. I wonder how many realized how historically significant the Queen Mary is, or how lucky they are to have such a beautiful ship in their midst. How do I get to the Queen Mary? I will assume you are coming from out of town. Anyone in Southern California knows how to get to Long Beach (I would hope so). If not, please read below. We aren't going that far. Once you're on the I-405, don't worry, it will eventually lead you there. It may look like a giant parking lot now, especially if you arrive on a weekend, but eventually things will get moving again! Return to Main Page.
