Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees: November 2009
http://betweenskyscrapersandpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Friday, November 27, 2009. Whenever I fly, I always flip through the SkyMall. Fortunately for you, I'm stuck on this plane and so can break down my favorite products. I'm going to start with the thing that, the moment I get a backyard, I will indeed purchase. Something needs to protect our turf, why not a yeti? The Zombie of Montclair Moors. And The Automatic Marshmallow Bazooka. Two items that project marshmallows. Seriously. The Telekinetic Obstacle Course:. This mig...

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Sunday, January 3, 2010. In my endless quest to not look like a moron, I've decided to upgrade the old bloggo to showcase my pictures and to stay in line with the look and feel of my website. So without further ado, I give you:. Come and join the party. I'm all alone right now and could use my friends. Have fun poking around the menus and links. Be patient while I finish loading my old posts into the new space. Oh, and let me know what you think! Pretty In Pink Events.

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees: Phase I
http://betweenskyscrapersandpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2009/10/phase-i.html
Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. What school, you ask? Academy of Art University. My wonderful, so-talented-it-makes-my-head-spin sister-in-law Kris is getting her MFA in Illustration there as I write this. She is living the life in San Francisco. I'm totally stealing her thunder by applying there, but she is loving that school and I can take the whole thing online. How great is that? I know that I need to learn a whole lot more than what I know. Will I stress out? I'm not...

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Um, I'm a Mac? So look at what Santa brought me for Christmas. My cousin is going to kill me but I decided to go with my gut and get a Mac. I was wavering. Boy, did I waver. But I went with the thing that I believe will help me the most in my photography and with this fledging business. Can I just say: Geez, Louise this thing is beautiful. My website looks awesome! Have you crossed the great divide to get a Mac? Sound off in the comments.

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees: Quiter?
http://betweenskyscrapersandpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2009/12/quiter.html
Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Thursday, December 31, 2009. During my time in New York, I called The Academy of Art and withdrew from school. I failed to mention that after Phase I. There was a Phase II (getting accepted) and a Phase III (registering). I was scheduled to start February 1st with two classes. I was awarded financial aid. In other words, I was all set to go. So why did I quit before I even started (wasting money in the process)? Could I do it? Hell, yes. Do I have to? The View From Here.

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees: August 2009
http://betweenskyscrapersandpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Monday, August 31, 2009. I can't get over how tired I am or how much standing in front of students for an entire day feels like the Dementors. Sucking my soul. It's not nearly as dramatic as that, I'm just beat is all. I was sick all weekend. My mom says that I'm an old woman and my best-good friend Scott says that it's just bad genetics. I don't know what it is, my brain just hurts. What is your name, location and website? 3 random things/quirks about yourself. I love...

Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees: Off the Rails
http://betweenskyscrapersandpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2009/12/off-rails.html
Between Skyscrapers and Palm Trees. Monday, December 28, 2009. So I totally got stuck on a train yesterday. For serious. It was at once awful and an interesting experience. Settle in, you're about to hear a story. Suddenly, I see this guy walking next to the train and I knock on the window. I'm surprised at how calmly I'm knocking given that I just had a Stage 3 freakout (out of 5). He looks at me like he's seen this before. I just tell him I'm from out of town. Luckily, I don't have to wait long. Li...
