Posted on 03.08.2015. The 2015 season looks good! After a very slow start in most of the Salmon rivers in June and into July things have picked up very nicely. The Salmon fishing on the rivers in the West has been very good for the last 2-3 weeks. Nordura. Has been on fire and over 2.000 Salmon have been landed already. The salmon rivers in the West opened up nicely in the beginning of June but then came a long wait until some large runs of fish showed up. Things have really been picking up for the last couple of weeks in the West with some big runs of grilse. These are premium fleeces of adult Icelandic Sheep (and when noted Lambs). I skirted these fleeces and picked out some straw. A few of the sheep got hay seed in their neck area - and I left that area because it was often nice wool, in case you wanted/needed it enough to work the hayseed out. The fleeces colors and weights are noted. The price is $40/each for most of the fleeces (lamb fleece is the same price, but more per ounce because they are much smaller in total weight) .
