It never gets any easier, you just get faster." - Greg Lemmond. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Xterra Worlds Quick Race Report. The race didn't go as planned. Tough to say, but I got 12th in my age group. Ouch. 3hrs 20mins. My goal was 3hrs flat (or better). The course was tough. The season is done. I am in Hawaii for the rest of the week with my family.and stoked about it. There is an inevitable combination of returning to a more “normal” pattern of life, some exercise and time spent planning for 2009. I really want to focus on the options surrounding 2009 planning, but as I write this, I question why so many think the off-season is the time to resort back to a normal way of life.

Saturday, August 7, 2010. Focusing on the positive: A good week of training otherwise. Got in some good hard intervals on sunrise climb in the McDowell Preserve. I feel good and I feel ready to work hard in the upcoming weeks. Oddly enough, I tend to enjoy biking the most when I'm doing structured workouts and feeling like I'm working hard. I’m one of those dorks who really used to look forward to the test in middle school phys ed class where they make you do the mile run as fast as you can. I played lacrosse in high school and college but couldn't play on club teams aftwerwards due to my work schedule. I found mountain biking and knew it was a sport I could get into.
