Although this hike is the only major hike in the area, there might not be any maps available at the Oze Visitor Centres so I recommend you buy a map. There are a lot of different and interesting hikes in the Chichibu 秩父 area, so I recommend you buy a map, particularly if you are just using Mt Hiwada 日和田山 as a starting point.
