Photographing Flowers: Picture-Perfect Potted Plants
http://photographingflowers.blogspot.com/2013/02/picture-perfect-potted-plants.html
Photography Concepts and Terminology. Depth of Field and Focus. Why I Wrote This Blog. Tuesday, February 12, 2013. I love pots to plant perennials in! And annuals, too. Pots can add so much in the way of focal point interest, providing for unusual soil requirements, and the ability to move blooming plants where you need them. The large round pot I found on sale, spilling over with pink calibrachoa, yellow violas, petunias and little white daisy-types. Yellow violas, lime green ipomea, and an annual grass.

Photography Concepts and Terminology. Depth of Field and Focus. Why I Wrote This Blog. Saturday, June 19, 2010. It is best to start simple, which- in the case of photographing flowers- means single flower studies. Just take one bloom at a time and experiment with settings, lighting, and angles to set off your subject to its best advantage. For example, find an interesting plant in your garden. This is a rose blossom from the Morden Sunrise shrub:. Try taking the picture from above, below, and alongside.
