Evaluation may include the new cystometrogram and electromyogram testing of the bladder, which simulates filling and emptying of the bladder producing a several page color printout of the cause of urinary control problems. This is an outpatient test, which is performed in the Urodynamics Lab at Reston Hospital. It can reliably differentiate whether medical or surgical treatment will be most beneficial for the patient.
