Demeter's Closet: North Bennington Art Park
http://demeterscloset.blogspot.com/2011/07/north-bennington-art-park.html
Tuesday, July 19, 2011. North Bennington Art Park. This past weekend Glenn and I had the pleasure of visiting the North Bennington Art Park, a wonderful event organized by our dear friend Fred X Brownstein. Glenn was asked to perform a bronze demonstration where he cast trilobites to benefit the Norshaft Little League. Nothing like a little molten bronze to add a bit of heat to the day! Heating the "tree 'o trilobites" shell. Hoisting up the melted bronze. And now to pour. Cooling off the metal.

Demeter's Closet: Vermont's Sweet Smell of Spring
http://demeterscloset.blogspot.com/2011/03/vermonts-sweet-smell-of-spring.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Vermont's Sweet Smell of Spring. Our first stop is K and S Ruane's Maple Sugar Farm. This was state of the art everything, with all kinds of extra machines to help speed up the evaporation process. The chrome was beautiful, but a little overwhelming and the process was being generated by oil. Kevin Ruane - nice guy and owner of all that chrome. This was a fairly large scale production and not exactly the quaint, quintessential Vermont experience I was hoping for. When I first mov...

Demeter's Closet: New Adventures in Personal Care Products
http://demeterscloset.blogspot.com/2011/03/new-adventures-in-personal-care.html
Wednesday, March 2, 2011. New Adventures in Personal Care Products. Being new to the Etsy community, not just as a seller but also a shopper, I have spend mucho hours surfing and being totally delighted at what I've found there. The art, jewelry, home decor, and fashion is just amazing - to say the least, but what has gotten me tingly recently is the wealth of personal care products. Personal care products you say? Well, this lady LOVES her lotions, creams, soaps, shampoos and sweet smelling ANYTHINGS!

Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Tangled up in blue. and copper and steel. Leah Csiszar is truly a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she an accomplished stone mason and sculptor but she makes about the best dry skin salve a Vermonter could ask for in the dead of winter. Her acute attention to materials is evident in these items in her Etsy shop - twobeans. Be sure to check her out on Etsy! Friday, February 11, 2011. In any case, winter seems to be the time to start such endeavors. The Imaginarium Etsy ...

http://demeterscloset.blogspot.com/2011/03/strong-wind.html
Saturday, March 12, 2011. Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are. Arthur Golden,. Demeter's Closet: Of Wooden Artifacts
http://demeterscloset.blogspot.com/2011/07/of-wooden-artifacts.html
Wednesday, July 6, 2011. I think that I shall never see. A poem lovely as a tree - Joyce Kilmer. Such love, appreciation and respect for the tree! Glenn and one of the ancients. I'd like to share with you a sampling of artists and craftspeople I've discovered on Etsy who share that connection with trees. Through their art, they not only pay homage to our family of trees but also leave behind the wooden artifacts of our age. This Is My Body. July 6, 2011 at 12:25 PM. Just lovely, Jackie!
