Life is but a dream…. When my English friend e-mailed that she was having her neighbors over for drinks on July 4, I asked her to send a photo. Remembering her Burns Night Supper. A couple of winters ago, I suspected that having friends over for drinks didn’t mean setting out a keg and some Solo cups under a tree. While we celebrated our independence with cookouts and picnics, she and her husband invited their neighbors to a garden party. The photo upped my Anglophile feelings another notch. Love your cu...

http://warmthoughtsineverystitch.blogspot.com/2014/11/mistress-tippet.html
Knitting Designs by Kim Wagner. Tippet- noun. A scarf, usually of fur or wool, for covering the neck, or the neck and shoulders, and usually having the ends hanging down in front. Unless you are Mistress Tippet. And then you have the option of securing those ends at the shoulders for a draped cowl. And then there is the option of buttoning the ends at the back for a snugger fit. Stitch markers, buttons, and a 32 inch circular needle are required to complete this project. http://www.betwixtthebetweens.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Thursday, December 30, 2010. Here is corner number three for ole Mary. Seemed to take forever, with the Christmas holiday. We had our son, and family here, which was lovely, but there was no stitching going on. I have signed up for a quilt history bus trip for next April. Lisa. My best friend Gina, and her husband are coming up from Houston tomorrow to spend New Year's Eve. Gina will then stay and sew for a few days, and I really look forward to her visits. The w...

Betwixt the Betweens: October 2010
http://www.betwixtthebetweens.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Mary and I keep on truckin'. I know I'm bad about not showing "process", even though it's not an intentional thing. I just keep thinking that I'll do "one more stem, or one more leaf", and before I know where I am, it's too late! So, this is what the medallion looked like yesterday morning, with quite a number of stems stitched, and over half of the leaves. Links to this post. As I was saying. I'll tell you it took all the discipline I ...

Here are the completed blocks thus far:. Ahh, Blogger is such a mystery. One picture refuses to load. Why? I have no clue. Guess I'll save it for next time. The last block finally popped up. I hope you are all starting to see Spring. We surely are. Michele. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A 16 part BOM. A bit of progress.

Betwixt the Betweens: November 2010
http://www.betwixtthebetweens.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Mary Brown Thanksgiving Update. Slowly, slowly, I am filling in the blanks. Boy, are there a lot of leaves/flowers on this one block! Somehow, or other, in spite of the fact that I've been moving back and forth from side to side, The bottom corner stays empty. I have a plan for almost every empty space, but that bottom is still a mystery. Meanwhile, Dorothy. Has moved on to her first setting triangle. Bravo! Links to this post. However...

http://www.betwixtthebetweens.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Wednesday, March 23, 2011. So, before I give up, and go back to sitting 3 feet in front of a fan, with my feet in a tub of icewater, I thought I'd just share a few wildly random thoughts with you good people. Sadly, no eye candy here, but head on over to Barb's. For some truly inspirational photos. Here, in no particular order, are a few things you might not know about me:. 2) I also married an only child. 6) Due to a shortage of military housing we were "forced"...

Little Prairie On the House – Merrilymarylee's Weblog
https://merrilymarylee.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/little-prairie-on-the-house
Life is but a dream…. Little Prairie On the House. Only in the South. In early spring, my Dearly Beloved and I were full of plans for our garden. I was going to whip the flower borders and beds into shape and he was going to have the perfect lawn this summer. I don’t know his methods, but on several different occasions he’d head for the hardware store, then spend countless hours applying whatever he’d bought with his spreader. By the time the pansies fizzled out in the hay rack planter on the deck railin...
