Karl's Pacific Crest Trail Thru-hike 2012. Care Packages and Letters. Northern Oregon forests were thick and lush. After a fire detour I climbed up and around amazing Mt. Hood. Hikers and tourists alike filled the restaurant at timberline lodge for the notorious breakfast buffet. Then we hung out at the amazing lodge into the afternoon. Who I hadn't seen since Etna, CA. Oasis and Honey Bear were close behind and the crew I hiked Northern Ca with were reunited. Latest photos (see new album for more).

Karl's Pacific Crest Trail Thru-hike 2012. Care Packages and Letters. Histo arrived in Stehekin yesterday evening (9/16). This lovely out-of-the-way lodge is reached by a red shuttle bus going southeast from the PCT. He spent all day today at Stehekin, and will get the bus back to the trail 8 am tomorrow, 9/18. From there it is 80 miles to Canada (the end of the PCT) plus 8 more to Manning Park and its Lodge, the end of the trail! Family, Friends and Guests:. Page to see what its all about.

This device allowed me to connect my camera to my trekking pole and take pictures of myself. I discovered that my camera would take three pictures in a row if I set it to continuous shutter and set the timer. So I could get three pictures for the hassle.
