The Terrace Talk: The Best League in the World?

View my complete profile. Friday, 8 April 2011. The Best League in the World? Two fingers to Sky? During the Fulham, Blackpool game on Sunday Chris Coleman said something along the lines of ‘the bottom teams can beat the top teams, that’s what makes this league the best in the world.’ One second please Chris? Would be as amazing as Ledley King having an injury free season. 12 August 2011 at 16:14. Sky are hardly likely to tell their viewers that the football their showing is incredibly uncompetitive.

View my complete profile. Sunday, 3 April 2011. The week in hastily cobbled together notes. Good player, but I think that giant ball sums it up better than I can. Instead, I thought I'd rather discuss the week itself, as if the title of this piece didn't give you a clue, I haven't exactly sat down and composed my thoughts. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a newspaper to hand to remind me of some of the lesser events our great sport has thrown up this week, let's proceed anyway. It is to not replace.

I had a good root round my memories and compiled a list of my favourite players since I was born (1990). Remember they might not be the best, but they are the players I have always had a massive affection for so there can be few arguments. Goalkeeper – Jose Luis Chilavert,. Defender Right – Javier Zanetti,. I think my first memory of Zanetti was the goal he scored against. Anyone who can ...

The Terrace Talk: Fantasy XI
http://theterracetalk.blogspot.com/2011/03/fantasy-xi.html
View my complete profile. Monday, 28 March 2011. In the 20 years I’ve been alive hundreds of footballers have drawn my attention to beautiful game. Some for dazzling the world on the biggest stage others for sheer eccentricity. There are a few unfortunates, Titus Bramble for example. Whether for good reasons, bad or for simply the sublime these eleven men have enlightened every 90 minutes of football I’ve ever seen. Except for most World Cup Finals. Goalkeeper - Oliver Kahn, Germany. What is there to say?
