It was wonderful to be home for Christmas! David received many cool gifts from his grandma and grandpa! The best gift we received as a family was a bike trailer! Now we can go biking again! Friday, October 16, 2015. Swarthmore Check is a canvas weave structure and which has doubled threads in both the warp and the weft. Because there are doubled weft threads, it also requires a floating selvedge to catch the double wefts. I wove this in a number of different patterns, some with just a couple of wide weft stripes and some with weft stripes throughout, looking a little plaid like. Because there are a number of weft floats, these make thirsty towels. Date Finished April 2015. Reed 10, 20 epi.

Thistle Rose Weaving: December 2014
http://tandrhandweaving.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 2, 2014. A weaving friend suggested that I use this draft and weave it with a blue background. Her suggestion was just perfect I think. The cobalt blue back ground with the silver trees and snowflakes really sparkles in the light. I can picture this runner on a holiday table with candles burning brightly. Back to my looms.
