Des fleurs et des couleurs...: June 2014
http://blog.giboulee.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Jun 15, 2014. Flowers in little pots. For me they are like little mantelpieces and bouquets :) Over time I combine my favorite ceramic pots with different flowers. This summer I have fluffy kalanchoes and alpine poppies, which do better in small containers than those that I tried to plant last year. Succulents. the best thing ever for little pots. A tiny flower on a string of hearts. Jun 8, 2014. Yesterday I had the pleasure to visit the Atelier Tissage et tradition. A glimpse of a tapestry:.

Des fleurs et des couleurs...: That green is back
http://blog.giboulee.com/2015/04/that-green-is-back.html
Apr 10, 2015. That green is back. Since people were asking about it, I've redone quite a number of pieces in that bluish green that was my favourite three years ago. Well, as colors go, it portrays my mood nowdays: stormy blue and green. This green glaze is unpredictable like the sea. If the layer is thin, it's bland and grainy, if too thick, then it gives black spots. But in some places it's turquoise, like Ba glaze. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Des fleurs et des couleurs...: April 2015
http://blog.giboulee.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Apr 24, 2015. This time I tried new spouts, cut open on top to see if the liquid pours better. Well, it does seem to work, but judging from all the teapots Ive tried out, the best spouts for pouring are the long S curved ones, are thick at the base and have a little lip to prevent the dripping. But these are the hardest to make. Apr 10, 2015. That green is back. Apr 9, 2015. For gnomes, as someone commented :) These are made from that new chamotte clay, quite grainy to touch. Des fleurs et des couleurs...: March 2014
http://blog.giboulee.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Mar 8, 2014. Mar 6, 2014. For the little ones. There are two reasons why I havent posted much pottery lately. First, most of my pottery time is spent helping kids learn working with clay. Second, Ive been putting much more effort into sewing than anything else, but since clothing is trickier to shoot than pots and cups, there arent many photos :). But anyway, heres some kids stuff I had the occasion to sew recently:. Labels: Astrid Le provost. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Des fleurs et des couleurs...: October 2013
http://blog.giboulee.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Oct 3, 2013. Thought I'd share some more photos of crystal glazed plates. Since in my workshop there's no possibility of crystallizing glazes, that is what I tend to buy in pottery fairs this year. So far I'm the joyful owner of 4 hypnotizing ceramics. =). This cup is butterflies. This one is like a nebula. And these 2 pot holders are frost and chrysantemums. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Des fleurs et des couleurs...: Bigger pots
http://blog.giboulee.com/2014/07/bigger-pots.html
Jul 12, 2014. It was time :) This summer will be 4 years that I started doing pottery, tackling throwing after a year of playing around with slabs. Thought this blood grass was a goner, till I stopped submerging it in water. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I love flowers, textiles and ceramics. And this blog is mostly for sharing the latter.
