Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Attending Edge Conference In NYC. Pssst You're reading this on my old. Blog You should update your RSS reader for my new one. I've been invited to attend what looks to be an amazing event, Edge Conference. Edge looked to be a different sort of conference, and I'm excited to see how it works. Edge is about everyone learning from everyone else, so you need to bring something to teach as well as a desire to learn. Every moment of the conference will be publicly available afterward.

Monday, January 20, 2014. EdgeConf 2013 Was The Best Conference I've Ever Attended. I do not say this lightly. I have a strong emotional bond with PyCon, and I’ve run my own conference. EdgeConf was easily the most rewarding conference experience I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of. Capturing why it was such a great time is very important to me. EdgeConf was a combation of validation, fascination, and exploration. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). EdgeConf 2013 Was The Best Conference Ive Ever At. Dynam...

Thursday, May 15, 2014. Mozilla, DRM, and Fighting Smart. News came out of Mozilla that was of zero surprise to me, and many others, but did upset and surprise a great number of people. Mozilla, long time champion of a free and open web, is backing down on their stance to never incorporate the new DRM mechanisms in HTML5 into Firefox. Firefox will officially support blackbox DRM’ed content played back exclusively through closed source components. Mozilla tried to make a stand and it was entirely admirable.

Saturday, February 22, 2014. Seeking Questions (and DOM/HTML5 Game Layout). I had been pondering some architecture issues after a day of refactoring and cleanup on an HTML5 game I’m building at work. Some common data/UI integration problems were bugging me, mostly just for the feeling of good separation, and I was about to post to. BAM Right there the answer smacked me in the face. And at that moment my first thought was how interesting it is for the act of writing out a problem to trigger the soluti...

Developing Upwards: Upgraded to HTC One M8
http://techblog.ironfroggy.com/2014/12/upgraded-to-htc-one-m8.html
Saturday, December 20, 2014. Upgraded to HTC One M8. I upgraded my phone from the original HTC One to the HTC One M8, which was a really clear choice because I just loved the HTC One, but unfortunately this is what mine looked like eventually:. It still works, if you. Want it for parts. Android hardware skyrocketed for the first few years, but I think we’ve seen it taper off now, and that’s a good thing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
