You know the girl who goes running on the trail near her house while listening to her walkman (yes, walkman because these are all cold cases) and is never seen again? Now that I am fully recovered from 3 hip surgeries, an elbow surgery, and ankle reconstruction, my choice to not listen to music while I train has shifted.

Dreaming of becoming an Ironman, 8 months of training my ass off for it, and on Sunday August 7th, 2016 at approximately 7:30pm, I heard Mike Reilly, the voice of Ironman, announce those words directly to me as I crossed the finish line followed by “for the rest of your life!
