In worried piles I typed for miles and you just stood there. The end of an era and the final end of winter. Portland summer has officially begun. This means always having your camera, always taking pictures. all the time. Bike adventures intended for sunsets and end with the police. Do the stars conspire to kill us off with loneliness? Life becomes so consumed by such trivial matters. To think that homework deadlines and upcoming finals and standing in front of an audience of peers to give a speech could totally destroy my bowel, when there is such real pain plaguing so many people who mean the world to me. It just makes me feel as though none of it mattered in hindsight. How do I share my love with those around me? How can I tell them all at once how dear they truly are to me?

Cheek to cheek is almost chin to eye. My Aunt Sherry came to visit from Fresno. This means I was on the receiving end of real quality time with her and my cousin Nicole. In addition to the standard family fare of rivers, waterfalls, and the Saturday Market, we made an appearances at the annual Portland Zine Symposium. Trek in the Park. And plenty of public fountains. Never thought I could miss Fresno so much. I wish my family was closer. Time will vindicate us all someday. Bearing down the interstate.

My life as a zookeeper. I've succumbed to the reality that my teeth need attention from the hot dentist and paid time off is actually the main perk of adult life. Full time at the jail, however, has it's own internally draining qualities. Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's Caranduru in Brazil or anything like that.
