CombingTheCobwebs: Sixth Installment mid to late 50’s
http://combingthecobwebs.blogspot.com/2008/09/sixth-installment-mid-to-late-50s.html
Saturday, September 6, 2008. Sixth Installment mid to late 50’s. Kite flying contest, Leonard style. Every March, it was traditional to fly kites on Flatbush Ave. Today, I find the tie of March and kite flying most interesting. Here in Bow, there’s almost always enough wind to put a kite in the air. To be honest, I don’t remember if it was the first time the reeling in conundrum presented itself or maybe after one tongue hanging out event that Dad came up with a solution. Love you for this effort. Even a...

CombingTheCobwebs: Fifth Installment 1958 maybe 1959
http://combingthecobwebs.blogspot.com/2008/09/fifth-installment-1958-maybe-1959.html
Saturday, September 6, 2008. Fifth Installment 1958 maybe 1959. We went to look at the pony. He was cute and of course both Doug and I were smitten. As Dad checked him over, it was apparent there were lumps on both his hind quarters. According to the owners, they were fat lumps, which were verified later by a vet. I haven’t the vaguest idea of what the final sale price was, but he was ours. Then there was the "How do we get him to Norwalk? At some point, Dad made arrangements with the dairyman to make a ...

http://grimmiusgroup.blogspot.com/2011/07/blue-and-gold-banquet-knights-of.html
Your future is as bright as your faith." -President Thomas S. Monson. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Blue and Gold Banquet- Knights of the Roundtable. We held our Cubscout Blue and Gold Banquet a few months ago, and I never got around to putting the pictures up. But I think it's important to share great Cubscout ideas, since I am always hard-pressed to find them! Our whole idea revolved around the Knights of the Roundtable. We had an amazing costume resource from our friend in the ward (thanks Valerie. Um, yo...

SHEPROSAURUS's: April 2011
http://sheprosaurus.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Well we have been here in Juneau for almost 2 months now. I have to say I have become a good ol' Juneau girl. I am loving the weather, the mountains and the family up here! Despite the lack of shopping I have found that this place suites me rather well. Kaitlyn and Adam are loving it as well, they think everyone should move here. I have heard Kaitlyn say 8 million times, "Can't Aunt Amanda move up here and Grandma and Poppy"! Tuesday, April 05, 2011. I looked up the stairs and ...

It was actually great! Bus ride from Providence to Manhattan- I managed to get you and Bastian to sleep at the same time! Playing with Georges in his room:. Playing (and not really wanting to share) with cousin Olivia at Aunt Trisha's house:. Playing at the park with all the cousins. You were delighted to find the big turtles, frog, and whale! It was a beautiful weekend- a bit warmer than New England so the leaves haven't fallen off the trees yet. Here are the adults hanging out:. And it felt great!

http://lifeartpics.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. So I realized today that the last time I posted anything was almost a year ago. Recently I took some pictures of some of the things I've been working on. Baking of course! Actually, I've been canning too, which is entirely new to me. The discovery of the farmer's markets here in Sacto has made me want to can and keep all the fresh fruit and veggies I can! Homemade cranberry jelly steeped with cloves and cinnamon! It was muy delicioso! And they smell AWESOME! I've canned salsa...
