I Thought I Was Done With This . . .

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Friday, October 28, 2011. Note: this was begun on the afternoon of Tuesday, 25 October). Careful readers may remember me writing recently. About the choices I was making in my life, and how pleased I was with them (it was only the second most-recent post; the most recent before this being the actual first essay I submitted to class). Even if the cancer were to go away (I had discovered about myself and my path), I would still be taking my editing course. I am discover...

I Thought I Was Done With This . . .: February 2011

http://ithoughtiwasdonewiththis.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Monday, February 28, 2011. Ian is home—he got in last night around 2:00am and, because I had generously changed my schedule to coordinate with his Hawaii time zone, I was up and waiting for him. Spackle and Hoover had already been put to bed, but Hoover heard someone—felt someone? AND, the house is cleaner! I won't add tedious detail to the list. Of accomplishments, but rest assured I kept very busy. It was liberating to wander around entirely of my own volition&#...

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Thursday, June 16, 2011. More Tying Up Of More Ends. Since it's pouring down rain at the moment and I'm 38, not 28, and I've never liked being inappropriately wet, I'm going to write in my blog instead of taking Shadow out for her first ride of the season. Weather report claims that tomorrow will be sunnier; Shadow—that crest of chunk you're building up along your mane? We're going to start getting after that tomorrow. Maybe because comfort seems so luxurious? Who gre...

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Friday, April 29, 2011. Here I am with some cousins from my mom's side, on a recent weekend whiz trip that Mom and I took to SF. From left, Cousin Katie (daughter of Mom's oldest brother), Cousin Laura (also known as Same Socks Laura- daughter of Mom's first younger brother), Mom, and me (other, youngest brother not represented by any daughters in this picture, unfortunately). http://ithoughtiwasdonewiththis.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Thursday, September 30, 2010. Hi all- I am, ideally, going to be over at The Dilettante Traveler. For the next couple months. Come along for the ride! Tuesday, September 28, 2010. I had my late-evening MRI last week, and it turned out to be pretty much late-. Day (sort of) back! Strong. Healthy. Well. It All Plays Together. Note: I began writing this post about 10 days ago, but the message is still valid so here I go completing it, and sending it off anyway. Suggestio...

I Thought I Was Done With This . . .: August 2011

http://ithoughtiwasdonewiththis.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

I Thought I Was Done With This . . . Wednesday, August 31, 2011. In celebration of my decision to just say no to poop pills, I made myself a giant latte this morning, my usual—split quad grande with whole milk—after days and days of being careful about the caffeine/lactose ratio (the combo can be quite the roto rooter). I had been having a mere 1 shot americano or some such thing, just enough to stave off withdrawal headaches on top of everything else. Um, yeah. Guts not ready for the big time. I did a q...

Spackle and Hoover: May 2011

http://spoover.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 13, 2011. Onto Something . . . Efficient. Back to my story—I've just now used the line drawing tool on google maps to determine how far I walked—turns out a healthy 4.33 miles! This is after about an hour of riding on Otto, the Giant String Puppet, where I think, judging from the lathers of sweat, I worked us both pretty hard. I seem to have recovered from whatever malaise. I thought to myself as I whipped back across the lake after my ride,. Maybe now is the time to start the separate walks.

Spackle and Hoover: October 2009

http://spoover.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. The vet called a week or so ago to say Ehrlichiosis was unlikely based on the results of the second titre. So Spackle's mysterious illness is back to being fully mysterious. However, you wouldn't know that he'd been sick at all from the way he's been slowly applying an extra daily meal and lots of treats to both building back the lost weight and romping about in the autumn weather. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Monday, October 19, 2009. Monday, October 19, 2009. As for Hoover,...

iThought

I thought I was free. No really, I used to believe that I was free. Free to persue life, liberty and happyness. Turns out, not so much. This is where I get to expose just how dumb I was, and there's plenty of room in the car, so buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride! Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Sometimes it's the premise that matters. Lets start off today with a question, shall we? Oooo, that was fun! But that wasn't really a question, was it? The argument on the left is mostly (as I see it) along the lin...
