Itinerant Life: January 2012
http://itinerantlife.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Main Entry: itin·er·ant Function: adjective Etymology: Late Latin : traveling from place to place; especially : covering a circuit. Saturday, January 07, 2012. For Christmas this year my parents gave both my nephew and my great nephew bomber hats. They, of course, both looked adorable in their cozy headwear. But my nephew decided that he would prefer a hat one size larger. This is how my folks happened to have an extraneous hat lying around the house. I declined the offer. That would be rabbit. I may as ...

Main Entry: itin·er·ant Function: adjective Etymology: Late Latin : traveling from place to place; especially : covering a circuit. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. I decided to give it my best. I found a break in the line and jumped in. I’m sorry, I’m sure it’s too late to do anything about it, but I believe I gave you £10 instead of £5. You know, I just found a £10 note in the £5 slot. I wondered what happened. I meant to give you £5. I’m so terribly sorry. So, how much do I owe you? In July of 2007 I began ...

Main Entry: itin·er·ant Function: adjective Etymology: Late Latin : traveling from place to place; especially : covering a circuit. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Since I’m being all bossy you won’t be surprised when I tell you to read part 1. Before reading this final installment in the trilogy. Don’t worry, I won’t come back in 20 years and add a bunch of prequels. My feelings about leaving NYC are similar to my feelings about leaving Orange County. Friday, June 21, 2013. If you haven’t already, read my.
Itinerant Life: October 2011

Main Entry: itin·er·ant Function: adjective Etymology: Late Latin : traveling from place to place; especially : covering a circuit. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Today in New York. As I left my apartment this morning in my typical rush, I opened the door into the hallway and noticed something flying. As it landed in front of me my first thought was, “Butterfly? No, its crunchy outer shell indicated it was definitely not a butterfly. Or anything else non-creepy. Not how I wanted to start my day. I suppose I...

Vienna Gulashmuseum | The Apron Stage
https://apronstage.wordpress.com/2010/05/20/vienna-gulashmuseum
May 20, 2010 in Uncategorized. Last night in Vienna, we met our BYU students at a restaurant called The Gulasch Museum, which as far as I could tell had nothing to do with a museum; although, the menu was a work of art. It was a large faux leather book with photographs of the fifteen gulasch dishes offered, each page protected in a museum-quality, acid free, plastic binding. The offerings were labeled not only in German but English, French, Italian, Spanish, Urdu, Pig-Latin and Swahili. Give me a break.

A temporary place (and title) to work through my thoughts on the 2016 presidential election. Sunday, January 29, 2017. In the days following the election, many friends raised their voices, insisting that the disillusioned masses give the new president a chance. We’re not bad people, they said. We just have different political ideals, they said. We are just as concerned about other humans as you lefties, they said. Yet their silence over the last 48 hours has said more than their words ever did. The whole...

I am thrilled to report that I have safely arrived in Perth, Western Australia, and today we had our first official day of Discipleship Training School. I’ve been anticipating DTS for over a year now, and I can hardly believe its here and that I’m right in the thick of it. Here is a photo of the base itself, located smack-dab in the heart of Perth. As we continue to dig into the word during lecture phase, I have a few areas that I would ask you pray about specifically. Much love to all. July 6, 2016.
