A Minute with Michael: June 2015
http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A Minute with Michael. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The new streets aren’t like. The mean streets or the gold streets. Or even the neighborhood streets,. They are just streets where a variety. Of interconnected things just seem to happen. Streets of coincidence and timing,. Streets of random dumb luck and. A convalescence of circumstance. All conspiring to put that mish-mash. Into some sort of coherent form. The streets speak gibberish,. Their word is unreliable and. Sloppy and full of the worst. To say in th...

http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015/08/throwback-thursday-cool.html
A Minute with Michael. Thursday, August 6, 2015. This whole “Throwback Thursday” thing had me curious about what I had written for this particular date in the past and I found a blog I wrote from August the 4. 2011 A healthy four years ago. I found it particularly amusing since it’s titled, “I’m just not cool”. Is it possible at some point I will attain some level of “Cool Dude” status? I don’t have any tattoos. I never got any. I didn’t think the meager selections of spider webs or C...And maybe that...

A Minute with Michael: May 2015
http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A Minute with Michael. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. 8220;Is there a button I can push to make today better,” asked Roger. The clerk at the DMV didn’t look up from her computer screen. She barely acknowledged Roger’s attempt at humor. She kept typing while Roger stared at her. Roger wondered why she was typing so much since there was so little information that needed to be added to update his address information on his driver’s license. It seemed insane. 8220;Date a birth,” asked the clerk. Roger told her his o...

She Has An Eye For It

A Little About Me. She’s Been Baking. She Has An Eye For It. While visiting friends a couple years ago, Rue picked up my former preschool student’s SLR camera (my former student was 19 by then and Rue was 10). After a few pointers, Rue began to move around the group taking photos. When we looked at them later we all were taken by the quality of the photos, the composition, the angle, and the way she captured interesting moments. You could immediately see that she had that eye for photography. And now pho...

http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A Minute with Michael. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The Clarity of Violence. A swelling voice rumbling. Over asphalt rivers,. Crashing and tearing at. Pillars of silence and. The first cracked pane,. The first remembered pain,. The shards of glass sparking. Memories of fire and fury. To be torn down. Rushes of pulses,. Waves of heat,. Regret long gone,. Power for the powerless,. Chaos for the masses,. Sweat on the brow,. A growl in the throat,. The hurled brick, stick. Flames roar on the pyre of. 8220;Wanna ...

A Minute with Michael: March 2015
http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A Minute with Michael. Monday, March 30, 2015. The Curious Moment of Curiosity. It was just another part of living the American dream. Erin considered the smell and wondered if maybe it wasn’t actually urine and crap and body odor, but rather, the smell of desperation. It was always that way, from the slums of the inner city, to the rural dive bars in Satan’s Pocket. 8220;Miss,” said Erin, “please, sit here.”. 8220;Oh, thank you so much,” said the young mother. The little girl shifted shyly on her mother...

A Minute with Michael: Go Go Go Political Discourse!!!
http://aminutewithmichael.blogspot.com/2015/08/go-go-go-political-discourse.html
A Minute with Michael. Friday, August 7, 2015. Go Go Go Political Discourse! So politics, yeah, why not? Last night’s first Republican debate made me wonder what world these men want to take us back to. I don’t know if they realize that the Eisenhower Era is over and has been for a long time. That was when the United States, post WWII, was providing 90% of the Worlds goods. The rest of the planet was essentially devastated by war. Of course the U.S. would be profitable!
