About Us

Ivybridge U3A was founded in June 2010. Our membership fee is £15 per year, £3.50 of this goes to the U3A trust and the remainder covers hire of the venue for our monthly meetings, speakers’ expenses and administration costs. If you are a member of another U3A and wish to join Ivybridge as well, you would pay £11.50 as the £3.50 to the trust is only paid once for each member per year. All members will receive our newsletter three times per year and also copies of the national U3A news magazine.

Monthly meeting and speaker diary. Our meetings are held at the Watermark, Erme Court in Ivybridge on the third Monday of each month (apart from Bank Holidays) starting at 2.00pm. We begin with opening comments from our Chairman followed by group leaders notices. We then have a talk from a speaker, the subjects are many and varied (details below), and finish with refreshments and a chat. History of Modern Britain.
