Janathon Day 1 →. Appendicitis open abdo surgery week 5. August 9, 2015. This has definitely been my best week. Been out and about every day, walking more frequently each day, but not far. Went out early this morning for my first solo walk in 5 weeks. Managed half a mile! Oh such a short distance, but any longer and that scar pulling pain would have been too much. My huge zip scar is healing nicely (had to have open surgery as it turned out to be more than just appendicitis! And I will always thank my friend for telling me about putting Vaseline on the scar. Thursday Madam arranged to go to an outside swimming pool complete with slides with a couple of her running friends in South Devon. As designated driver I needed to find something to do in the area for the day whilst they slid. Fortunately the pool is located on the coast so the decision was not hard. I started off at Goodrington sands. Of course the run was scenic.

Day 5 and 6. Day 5 I was working away all day at an event. I got home at 9.30pm was starving and drained so didn’t run, 50 squats before my shower. I gave my 1st ever speech at the event to a room of 300 people so was sweating quite a bit all day if that counts! Day 6 and it’s glorious weather again. Little run around the pond…. No overtime today as had to wait in all morning for the gas man, he came at 1pm so could have gone out for a run after all 😡 front room workout it was. 20 bingo wing dips.
