Barely hanging on by the skin of my teeth. Saturday, March 7, 2009. I was in negotiated rulemaking up at the Department for the past two weeks. When I was getting ready to go home Thursday evening, I pulled off my heels and slipped on my Metro shoes - canvas Vans slip-ons, black with white skulls. One of the other women there said "Intersting shoes." I told her my son picked them out for me. Yeah, a 2 year old boy and an almost-6-month-old girl.". What the hell does THAT mean? I can't wear cool shoes?

Fordi jeg skulle løbe Lillebælt Halvmarathon lørdag, var jeg kun ude på en enkel 5 km løbetur om onsdagen, og så gåture med hunden torsdag og fredag som sædvanligt. Lørdag kørte husbonden og jeg mod Middelfart i god tid, og vi nåede til Lillebælt Hallerne ved 11-tiden, så der var masser af parkeringspladser og plads. Jeg fik klædt om, og vi tog en af shuttlebusserne ned mod byen - fungerede perfekt. Mit næste løb er Nykredit Aarhus City Halvmarathon den...

Mest om løb og min træning. Søndag den 26. maj 2013. Efter Lillebælt Halvmarathon har jeg været helt nede og vende, for kroppen og benene har slet ikke. Været i humør til at løbe . overhovedet! Jeg har dog tvunget mig selv ud på de sædvanlige 3 løbeture om ugen - bestemt ikke med entusiasme, men udelukkende med Aarhus Halvmarathon in mente. Jeg er trist over, at jeg har mistet min løbe-'mojo', men jeg håber på, at det bare er en midlertidig følelse, og at jeg snart er tilbage på sporet igen. Fremover vil...

Så kom dagen for min aftale hos speciallægen - jeg har haft en seneknude på det yderste led af min venstre lillefinger i nogle måneder nu, og selvom jeg har håbet på det, forsvinder den ikke af sig selv - så i dag skulle den fjernes. Selve operationen tog kun omkring 10-15 minutter, og så fik jeg sat en kæmpe bandage på fingeren - og en aftale om at jeg skal komme torsdag i næste uge for at få fjernet stingene.
