hannah's skill workshop: Using my primary resources as ideas for sculpture ideas
http://hannah-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/taking-my-primary-resources-as-ideas.html
Sunday, 13 March 2011. Using my primary resources as ideas for sculpture ideas. I want to create the idea of flowers and the other objects that i have resourced to create sculptures and i looked at different ways of manipulating the paper to create different shapes. These are presentations of the cactus i have researched, i found creating a similar shape to a cactus was really hard as the paper was hard to bend into so many and stay folded. hannah's skill workshop: Typography ideas
http://hannah-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/typography-ideas.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. I have also looked at Rob Ryans work , but looking over them again is definitely worth it! His work is incredible and the use of strong contrast and the control over the cut out lines makes me wonder if my hands could be this steady, the different technique in just these two typos gives me inspiration for my poster type, i want to look at creating strong line and shadow to bring out the contrast and although i might not be able to create such intricate lines i can practice.

hannah's skill workshop: my attempts at making typography
http://hannah-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-attempts-at-making-typography.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. My attempts at making typography. I was really inspriated after looking at all the paper typography artisits and i got out my paper and gave a good go at it, i found bending and folding small paper really hard and actually getting the message across clear was really hard. I think this bold cut out in the card works better for me, the prestiner line and clean cut edges is a tall over for my shakey hands, but other then that this typo is bold clear and stands out really well.

Jack Brough Print to Pixel: The origins of animation
http://jack-brough-pint-to-pixel.blogspot.com/2011/05/origins-of-animation.html
Jack Brough Print to Pixel. Thursday, 5 May 2011. The origins of animation. One of the first people to try and recreate motion in images was a photographer called Eadweard Muybridge. In 1872 he produced a series of images of a man riding a horse. The images helped capture what is impossible to see with a human eye. Before this point animation had been restricted to inventions such as;. LORD, peter and SIBLEY, Brian (2010). London: Thames and Hudson. p20-21. Here is 2 pages from the book Cracking animatio...

James Bates Skills Workshop: March 2011
http://jaybates.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
James Bates Skills Workshop. Monday, 14 March 2011. Rather than being and isolated object on my poster the form I produced was designed to be used as an element of the type for my poster. I had to merge 3 photos of each individual form to get the desired image I wanted as the images with all 3 forms on weren't sufficient. With Richard Sweeney's help I attached the forms using string to a broom which we then dangled over the infinity background. Task 1, Take 2! Once again I formed the individual circles.

Monday, 14 March 2011. This is the original photo. Levels changed to make it brighter. Curves changed to make it brighter again in different areas. This one was just a bit of experiment to see what different colours would look like. I prefer the red and blue, still in keeping with the british colour theme. This is the final image i will use for my poster i still feel like its missing something though so i found the Design Museum logo on google. In the words of Alan. F* KKKKKK! The letters don't stand up ...

lainey lemon cake.: poster development - making
http://laineylemoncake.blogspot.com/2011/03/poster-development-making.html
Is made from paper. Friday, 11 March 2011. Poster development - making. I prepared the paper just as I prepared the paper for the sculpture I made in task one, except I was going to be drawing on the design freehand, so I could stick the brown paper on first. Dont worry, i used a spray booth, not the mac lab desk :P. Neatening up the edges. I then drew on some birthday related illustrations to cut out of the numbers. Cutting the shapes out.
