Sunday, June 29, 2008. The plan: Spend Saturday enjoying our favorite stores and eateries downtown, and stroll through the campus like old times. Get up Sunday and visit the Botanical Gardens before heading back home. Overall the trip went well for our first I suppose. It is definitely a different (and somewhat difficult! Earlier this week I tried freezing tomatoes for the first time! I didn't think it could be done. I mean, have you ever seen frozen tomatoes in the store? I then remembered that our neighbor, Mrs. Bobbie, cans! I walked myself over and asked her if she'd teach me how to can and she said yes! I was extremely happy! Ha ha Seriously though! I wasn't about to whip up more carmel sauce since it takes enough ingredients. I hate wasting. The peeps at the party will just have to scrap the carmel back onto the apple! 1/8 cup flax seed.
