That’s What’s Up | et quod in medio

Et quod in medio. That’s What’s Up. The kids favorite part is the actual finding of the cache and trading swag (little trinkets or toys) If anything, it’s a fun family activity that costs little to nothing. I don’t have photos of the kids and I finding our first cache…but we do have one of Scott finding his first. I handed him the GPS and coordinates and sent him on his way. Walking up and down trying to figure out where it might be. This was such a beautiful location in the middle of nowhere.I could...

And just like that…Christmas | et quod in medio
https://paczspages.wordpress.com/2015/01/05/and-just-like-that-christmas
Et quod in medio. And just like that…Christmas. And just like that…birthday, death, thanksgiving, bronchitis, birthday, family, memorial, flu, advent….it’s all there, all at once. Always comfortable on a roof. Almost as soon as Rebecca turned 10…she tested positive for flu. I took her into Urgent Care on a Saturday morning to find her fever up to 104 and her pulse in the 150s. Perhaps I have never seen her that ill? Knocked out by the flu and fever. In the beginning of December, when we were still sort o...

10 years of Mothering…or Rebecca turns 10!!! | et quod in medio
https://paczspages.wordpress.com/2015/01/04/10-years-of-mothering-or-rebecca-turns-10
Et quod in medio. 10 years of Mothering…or Rebecca turns 10! And I enjoy her growing up and turning into a tween. I even enjoy her sarcasm and sassiness. She is very funny and her character is developing and molding into a young woman I will admire. For now though…she remains my little girl – silly, ornery at times, caring and charming, night owl and late sleeper (like her mama! Artistic, thoughtful and creative, story-teller, animal lover, adventurer, history buff (like her dad! Good Morning 10 yr old!

if I were on Facebook… | et quod in medio
https://paczspages.wordpress.com/2015/01/04/if-i-were-on-facebook
Et quod in medio. If I were on Facebook…. Well…at the moment I am actually on Facebook…but don’t expect to be there long. However, I really need to find a way to stay connected to our Homeschool Group notices – it just seems they are only on Facebook. Argh. Anyway…for the past 2 1/2 months, I have not been on Facebook and so I had random status updates that would pop in my head and I thought it would make a good post entitled: If I were on Facebook. Have you watched Fiddler on the Roof? Did you like that?

Friends for a Lifetime | et quod in medio
https://paczspages.wordpress.com/2015/02/23/friends-for-a-lifetime
Et quod in medio. Friends for a Lifetime. The great thing about making adult friendships is the friendship bleeds over into our children. So Rebecca (and later on, Jacob) have enjoyed the fruits of fellowship with families in England, Texas, and now Florida. I read somewhere that military children will say good-bye to more significant people by age 18 than the average person will in their lifetime. Moving day. My children love these two beautiful young women of God. And I love their mom. Enter your email...

Jacob turns 4!!! | et quod in medio
https://paczspages.wordpress.com/2014/12/01/jacob-turns-4
Et quod in medio. A few hours after Granddaddy died, Jacob woke up to his 4th birthday. Scott and I struggled with that for a moment…then realized it was a good thing. We will always remember him on this day. We will remember Granddaddy on his birthday, on holidays, and on Jacob’s birthday…and all other moments that happen, we will remember and reminisce. Regardless, it was difficult to face my sons birthday in the middle of hard-grief. But we did. Giddy over a card! And posted in Uncategorized. You are ...
