Jane's Probably Knitting: Hold on to your hat!

http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/01/hold-on-to-your-hat.html

A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Saturday, 10 January 2015. Hold on to your hat! I'm sitting here at my desk, writing, looking out at a bright and blustery Saturday afternoon thinking about my fellow knitters experiencing the gale force winds in Scotland and hoping that they have all found a cosy place to knit and ride out the storm. You will have seen this hat before - it's the Atherfield Hat. The green hat is made in Olive and the red one is Cranberry.

Jane's Probably Knitting: Taking an idea and running with it

http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/04/taking-idea-and-running-with-it.html

A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Tuesday, 14 April 2015. Taking an idea and running with it. One of the things that I love about being fortunate enough to have a library of knitting books and a stash of beautiful yarns is that it is easy for the craft to take me on little.ahem. detours. It isn't entirely my fault though. My friend Lyn, author of the always inspiring blog, Shades of Grey. But the stripe patterns are quite different. This really appealed...

Jane's Probably Knitting: 2014 - worth mending

http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/01/2014-worth-mending.html

A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Monday, 5 January 2015. 2014 - worth mending. It always aids reflection to be able to sit and contemplate views like this. To excite and inspire me. Valuable things that I have are the people that I am lucky enough to have drawn around myself. They may need patching up and looking after now and again but are all the more precious and beautiful for all that. Beautiful post Jane :-) Im abig believer in Make do and Mend es...

Jane's Probably Knitting: August 2014

http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Sunday, 24 August 2014. Well as I said in my last post, once I started knitting on those simple socks I found it very difficult to put them down. Within a matter of days I had a brand new pair of stripy socks! I used Yarn Yard Bonny, 2.5mm circular needles and a pattern which originated in the sock recipe in Ann Budd's Handy Book of Knitting Patterns which I have fiddled around with and memorised over the years. I hadn'...

Jane's Probably Knitting: A box of delights

http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-box-of-delights.html

A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Sunday, 10 May 2015. A box of delights. You might have thought that by my age I would have grown out of the excitement that follows the delivery of a parcel but some parcels reward my undignified glee. Underneath the cool and rather sophisticated exterior something was hiding. And here it is - four beautiful samples of yarn from a company that is new to me, Yarn Stories. Overall I was pleased with this yarn. I can't...

Looking forward. | Nickerjac

https://nickerjac.wordpress.com/looking-forward

I guess it’s the traditional end of year blog entry, it’s not been the best of years for us for a number of reasons and although I know it could have been far worse I don’t think I am being to self indulgent in saying it has been pretty crap. So putting that behind us and looking forward to next year, I don’t think making new years resolutions will help my stress levels so I’m just going to list some things I would like to do something about this year. 4 The final thing I want to do is completely inspire...

https://nickerjac.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/robert-william-wyborn-1945-2015

Next Post →. January 28, 2015 · 9:01 pm. Robert William Wyborn 1945-2015. Yesterday I lost my dad. Here he is looking handsome on his wedding day in 1967. I loved my Dad, we didn’t always see eye to eye about things and he wasn’t perfect, who is? But always at the end of everything he was my dad. He also brought me up through those horrible teenage years, (I really was horrible) hard work for a couple let alone a single man. Next Post →. 4 responses to “. Robert William Wyborn 1945-2015. A Brand New Year | Nickerjac

https://nickerjac.wordpress.com/2015/01/02/a-brand-new-year

Next Post →. January 2, 2015 · 9:15 pm. A Brand New Year. Unfortunately I have come to realise after many years this doesn’t mean a brand new me. I was looking for last years new year post which seems to have vanished, I am sure I did one but did find the years before and I seem to be repeating myself a lot. I know some people are doing the 15 in 15 idea which I first read about on http:/ madeinoxford.wordpress.com which is a wonderful idea but haven’t quite managed to fit into that format. time for tea and cake: Big job

http://teandcake.blogspot.com/2013/12/big-job.html

Time for tea and cake. Come on in and have a cuppa and some cake . Monday, 23 December 2013. 2014 is going to be my year. It is going to be a big job. I am currently seven, actually eight stones overweight. I need to lose at least seven of that, to be in a healthy weight range. I have already joined Slimming World, in order to lose the weight. Yes, it was a silly time of year to do it - just two weeks before Christmas, but it needed to be done and I started to feel more positive as soon as I signed up.

Sock Knitting – Session 3: The Finished Sock | Knitknacker

https://knitknacker.wordpress.com/2008/02/24/sock-knitting-session-3-the-finished-sock

Knit pickings and other things…. Sock Knitting – Session 3: The Finished Sock. This post is coming to you late because…well…I don’t. Have a finished sock to show you { *embarrassed*}. Oh ye of little patience. Tut tut. The toes are all about decreasing and actually not difficult until you get only a few stitches on the needles…even then its more fiddly than difficult. I was a tad slow in class, so I still had a couple of rows of decreases to go before the kitchener stitch, but Jane. The toes and increase...

Amber Purls (and Knits too): December 2009

http://amberpearl.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Amber Purls (and Knits too). Thursday, December 17, 2009. On the left above my DH June 1952 to August 2009. Sorely missed, there is a hole in my heart that will never heal. The suddenness of his death was such a huge shock to all, we are still trying to make some sense of it. I tried moving this photo but blogger is not cooperating today so I'll let it stay where it is. I'm looking at houses and have seen one that I am tempted to put an offer on, but it feels like a very big step. View my complete profile.

paraknit: Lyme Regis

http://paraknit-judy.blogspot.com/2011/03/lyme-regis.html

Wednesday, 16 March 2011. I love to see a working harbour and these nets were on the wall drying in the sun. This was the start of it, I actually pulled it back to the narrow bit and lengthened it. I have made some changes to the settings on this blog and I did it in the middle of this post. The last two photographs enlarge if you click on them, but the first two do not. Hopefully in the future, they will all enlarge when clicked on.. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bath, United Kingdom.

paraknit: Frome Show

http://paraknit-judy.blogspot.com/2010/09/frome-show.html

Monday, 20 September 2010. No excuses for lack of blogging - I have been enjoying my summer and we have taken every oportunity to go away in the camper van. A summer top and a baby jacket. I had to burn the midnight oil a couple of nights but finally it was all ready. I could not get to the setting up day so my friend Chris and other half Rog took my items for me. The day of the Show and I was at home doing some jobs before going for the afternoon and I got a text from my friend to say my socks had won!

The mogs blog, the meanderings of a cat through yarn and life: November 2014

http://ambermoggie.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

The mogs blog, the meanderings of a cat through yarn and life. The musings and meanderings of a mixed media artist and yarn junkie who loves to knit, spin, crochet, make elemental figures, write and enjoy life. I try to follow the wheel of the year and enjoy each day of it. My art reflects that spiritual journey. November 10, 2014. We had a trip into one of our market towns today and look who I found in the charity shop:) First picture is courtesy of this website Lugh. Isn't this a stunning picture? He ha...

A while ago, I received yet another GREAT DT-package from Fran. This time it was beautiful papers from what has become one of my favourite producers: Authentique. You find the complete collection here. It has kind of a sea/beach theme - and will be perfect for your summer photos. But as they are double sided, you will just like me find them super versatile! The stamp used on my card is one from Fran s own collection. Lg Dame. 2012-06-05 @ 08:38:13 Permalink. Did you ever try Cameos on your layouts/cards?
