Was brilliant in fact it was probably the only ‘short’ bike race that I thought was worthy of a 500 mile round trip in the car. This year Matt. Achieved something really special and the race was even better. Morning arrived and I snoozed for all of five minutes as the morning sun thawed my pop up coolbox. That was me gone.

Sunday, 29 March 2015. The other Wednesday we had lovely weather here so cybi and I parked at Cressbrook and walked over to Tideswell to meet Ali for lunch. I hadn't been along the path between Cressbrook and Litton Mill before but it's stunning, as well as very muddy. You can see that it floods easily, lots of signs warning about this. Monday, 4 May 2015. A bit of practise for Saunders. We were meant to be at the Welsh Ride Thing this weekend but Ali has a sprained ankle and would like me about, she'd also really struggle to walk the dogs. So Hannah and I planned a little adventure, which went from biking and bivvying in the Peak, to a training walk (with maybe a bit of running) but sleeping in beds since the weather overnight wasn't meant to be that great. I think Hannah was glad she didn't have a dog attached to her at that point.

Monday, August 31, 2009. A break in the humidity happened just in time for me to get my August metric century with a few days to spare! I rode X6 and started off very well, but mid way my feet got very sore with a pins and needles sensation and it killed my tempo. Saturday, January 31, 2009. And Lynn, who just bought her first trainer this month. At the start of January, I had it in mind that I'd try to do 500 miles, though I wasn't sure that would be feasible on the trainer. Turns out, it was about right! Out of 27 days of riding, 25 were done on the trainer. I feel so relieved that I managed to check off my January metric century on what was probably the *only* possible day for it!
