She's taking a break from blogging at the moment. Simran, a 30-something Punjabi girl has made Mumbai her home and blogs at Bombay Foodie. Centaur cooks..: December 2009
http://centaurcooks.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A book-wormish-aspiring-vegetarian-sous-chef's culinary endeavors. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Green peas and Edamame parathas. So take 1 cup of green peas and 1 cup of edamame and thaw them.Run them in a chopper for couple of minutes.I kept them coarsely chopped. I served this with some fusion green-onion/potato bhaji and raita. The peas/edamame taste was distinct and nice and satisfied me for packing in a bunch of nutrients! Links to this post. Monday, December 14, 2009. Vegetable en Croute daringly.

A book-wormish-aspiring-vegetarian-sous-chef's culinary endeavors. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Makke ki roti and sarson-no-palak ka saag. I have been seeing this combination floating around the blog-world lately and very tempted as it would be perfect garma-garam food in these cold days. The problem was finding mustard greens, I have never used them so do not even know what they look like - I did try in farmers market and the frozen section of the grocery store but to no luck. 2 cups cornmeal flour. Heat ...

Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there): Cake for breakfast
http://thetibiklife.blogspot.com/2016/04/cake-for-breakfast.html
Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there). Musings of a casual cook. Friday, April 22, 2016. And then I fed my family cake for breakfast. Whoever came up with the concept is a genius. Bake a cake in a loaf pan, call it a bread and you get to eat it for breakfast. This ginger loaf falls into that category. If you have the patience you could bake it in a muffin pan. It is not too sweet and has the warming heat of ginger. Ginger loaf - adapted from Orangette. 190; cup sugar. 1/2 cup olive oil. Now meas...

Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there): Used books and recipes
http://thetibiklife.blogspot.com/2016/12/used-books-and-recipes.html
Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there). Musings of a casual cook. Sunday, December 11, 2016. Used books and recipes. I hit the jackpot with three good reads this month all picked up at used book stores. This book moved me deeply - it is beautifully written without ever feeling pretentious. Two brothers meeting for dinner; seems innocent enough. The book unfolds like a play through the dinner courses each revealing a new layer to the story. It is dark and funny at times. Red wine caramel sauce.

Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there): Edamame dip
http://thetibiklife.blogspot.com/2016/04/edamame-dip.html
Athlu illa Ithlu illa (Neither here nor there). Musings of a casual cook. Tuesday, April 19, 2016. I realize this blog has a lot of recipes for dips and spreads. This is my contribution to lunch in our household. Today I have a recipe for a smooth, vibrant and herb laden edamame dip. It comes together pretty easily and is versatile too. Dip for Pita Chips or veggies, sandwich spread or toss with cooked pasta for a quick lunch. Makes enough to fill a 12 oz container. 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder. Big Mik...

Food and Wine with Smita: Chicken in a Creamy Yogurt Sauce
http://cookingwithsmita.blogspot.com/2015/04/chicken-in-creamy-yogurt-sauce.html
Food and Wine with Smita. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Chicken in a Creamy Yogurt Sauce. This is one of my husbands favorite chicken dishes. The two main ingredients are chicken and yogurt if you have all the other staple spices in your pantry. This is best as a two day process - marinate overnight on day 1 and cook on day 2. Chicken thighs ( 2 packs) or 2.2 lbs. Onions - chopped 1 small yellow. Green chilli whole (1). Garlic 6 to 7 cloves. Coriander powder 4 tsp. Garam Masala 1 rounded tsp. 4) Serve with h...
