Imagine: February 2012

Thursday, February 23, 2012. We have failed to love our neighbors, their offences to forgive,. Have not listened to their troubles, nor have cared just how they live,. We are jealous, proud, impatient, loving overmuch our things;. May the yielding of our failings be our Lenten offering. Sunday's Palms are Wednesday's Ashes. I am still going to fast, Monday evening to Tuesday evening. To pray, to listen, to repent, to study, to serve, and to remember vividly, honestly, and carefully how others. View my co...

Imagine: Catching Up
http://dreameremily.blogspot.com/2010/08/catching-up.html
Wednesday, August 18, 2010. It's been over a month since my last post. I can't remember when time flew by so fast.well, not entirely true, but I digress. Anyway, a brief list of the goings-on of the past month:. Called seminaries to inquire about starting in the spring/fall of 2011. Applied to Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Was accepted and offered a great scholarship to Garrett for the Fall of 2010 (and let the games begin). Facebooked friends in the Chicago area. Said a lot of goodbyes.

Imagine: The Windy City
http://dreameremily.blogspot.com/2010/09/windy-city.html
Wednesday, September 1, 2010. I've been in Chicago, well Evanston, for three days now, and already I feel like the time is flying by. It's creeping by a little too, though. I had my first day of orientation today, and at the end of it all, I feel very inadequate, yet grateful to be here. My fear now is not as much, "Will I get into this class or that class? But moreso that I won't take, or be able to take, or feel like I will be able to take. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It's foreign on this side.

Sunday, March 4, 2012. Journeys are hard to understand for a structure-craving "J" like me. There are endless options, paths, and directions that one can take. A journey doesn't have a clear-cut ending. It's not like a race that you can finish or a puzzle you can put together. Being on a journey is exciting and scary. Sometimes it helps to have some friends with you on the journey. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In Light of the Resurrection. Why I Would Rather Be Crazy Than Boring. It's foreign on this side.

Imagine: Reflections from Mission Week
http://dreameremily.blogspot.com/2010/08/reflections-from-mission-week.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. Reflections from Mission Week. That night we worshiped together and shared about our experiences. We respected each other and listened to each other. We looked forward to the next day, when we would travel to a new city for an experience that we knew little about. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In Light of the Resurrection.
