Leap of Faith: Ethiopia
http://leapafaith.blogspot.com/2009/07/ethiopia.html
Thursday, July 2, 2009. Once in a while people will ask questions about our journey in Ethiopia and what it was like. Today, I had the opportunity to share Grayson and a few stories of Ethiopia with people from Brandon's work. At that moment it takes me back and I realize I travelled to a different country, continent, culture and community. and brought home our son! Let me share a few pictures. Absolutely amazing don't you think? These pictures were all taken on our trip North of the city about 3 hours.

And baby makes four. Our lives one post at a time. Thursday, March 07, 2013. A life of service. Mackenzie was able to participate in an amazing opportunity today. As a part of student council, she and the other council members got to volunteer at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. They were also able to tour the kitchen's greenhouse (yea to urban farming! You have melted my heart! Like usual - way to go super mom :) and Mackenzie, you are just as amazing as your mom! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

marginalia gratae: A Beautiful Mind
http://marginalia-gratae.blogspot.com/2009/10/beautiful-mind.html
Friday, October 2, 2009. On June 11, 2008, my grandmother went to the hospital for a routine, preventative procedure, during which she sustained significant, unexpected trauma. That singular event changed not only her entire state of existence, but it altered our family dynamic and, from all accounts, reframed and redefined both ‘the personal’ and ‘the professional’ for the doctor who performed the procedure. While I was talking with my mom last night, she explained that the subject of nearly all these c...

Sunday, September 21, 2008. Second Verse Same as the First! This week we did get an update from our adoption agency. The referrals that they talked about the end of August have not come through yet. They are HOPING to give referrals before October. We are not sure if we will get a referral in this group anymore. On a lighter note, Gavin loves school! It is keeping us very busy. I also start float building for homecoming this week so that will be fun too! Tuesday, September 9, 2008. I really miss him!

http://simonyankeefans.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. After a year, finally an update! So, I haven't done an actual blog entry in over a year. I am so bad at this. I think my new years resolution should be more diligent in my blogging! Jacob is three now. I can't believe how the time is flying by. He is 37 pounds now and wearing 4t clothes! Now that Christmas is over I am ready for summer. I am very excited that we are going camping this year with a bunch of other Ethiopian adoptive families! I have our site reserved so no excuses!

Saturday, June 5, 2010. It has been too long! I must admit that I do check my own blog, but only to use it to get to other blogs! Okay, I at least need to update with a new picture of Grayson and Gavin. Grayson is doing wonderful. He is talking, walking and loving life. I am so looking forward to this summer, because he loves being outside. We will have so many adventures to share and I am hoping to keep up with what is happening. For now enjoy the recent pictures. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Decembe...

Thursday, August 27, 2009. That is Jacobs word for cooking. It's so cute. He sat by me on the chair watching Food Network and when I would ask him what they were doing, he would say "Cuckoo! Then, when they would show a stove or something steaming, he'd say "Hot! After awhile of that, he actually asked to take a bath! I'm so glad he likes bathtime! Thursday, August 20, 2009. It seems like just yesterday it felt like a referral would never come and now, the three of us have been together for a year. Our family is so blessed! Monday, June 15, 2009.
