I asked my students who are overwhelmingly computer based, with high use of phone, and variable amounts of TV. Also, what about reading print material on the computer, as opposed to reading non-print blogs and other social media sites?

Sharing and Collaboration: English Classroom. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. At a teacher in TN 11th grade year includes a writing exam. There is a lot of emphasis on this exam as results are used to determine if English teachers are effective in efforts to instruct students. The test is scored 1-6; a score of 4 or higher is a passing score while 3 and below fail. Watch for comments on this thread. I will post resources I find. Toward the end of the book, Sir Ken lays out the case for personalizing our kids’ educations in the context of transforming (not reforming) schools:. I place the bar of my expectations fairly high. I expect my students to work hard, produce the best effort they can muster, and produce a product that they can hand in with pride and understanding of the concepts and standards required.
