Summing up our time at Urbana - very good! Some 150 direct conversations and contacts to follow up. Some 30 ministries too. Good interest in Italy. We were basically the only 'country-stand'. Even the St, Louis paper mentioned us in their article. Back home now. back into the swing of things. New year, new challenge.

When you're driving (especially me! When you're writing an essay. When you're despairingly looking at a never-ending to-to list. But above all, in being able to distinguish between what is peripheral and what is central. So often our blur occurs because we focus on the peripheral and not on the central.

All 3 were away over Easter weekend with WHBC. Came back with happy memories. We were thankful they went.and that they returned! 2 much 2 do? If you're like me, then you're always facing the fact that there is 2 much 2 do. At times it becomes overwhelming. The todo lists are speckled with reminders to check the other todo lists. Thursday, January 02, 2014. Boxing Day Family Times. Boxing Day was spent at my sil and bil's, Ann and Jon's. This year there were 29 of us. My boys were looking very dapper for the occasion. My mil was busy knitting away on Tom's Christmas scarf. She knits such beautiful scarves. An assistant in All Saints. Once asked Peter if the scarf his Mum had knitted was one of theirs. We had the rare opportunity to catch up with my fashion student niece, Lizzie (grandchild number 6, exactly between Tom and Anni).

Sunday, March 24, 2013. We have had our boy back home for the weekend, along with his dreaded washing bag! This time he also brought his friend, Alina, from university. Monday, January 13, 2014. Today my Momma Bear celebrates her 80th birthday. The photograph above was taken when she was 30, back in 1964. Yesterday we had a celebratory lunch at Cranage Hall for her special day. My sil, Kath arranged it all and did a rather splendid job. After a week of washing, ironing, packing and arranging, Peter drove Tom up to his new flat in Edinburgh on Friday, whilst I helped Anni get ready to leave.
